Maron Hotel & Suites

Maron Hotel exceeded our expectations! Wonderful staff with Mary Elizabeth at the helm - wonderful restaurant is attached (great shrimp cocktail and pizza)! Bartender Tom was great as well. The room had everything we needed and a comfy king size bed! Stay here if you’re in the area and need a great place to stay!

I'm 50/50 when it comes to rating the Hotel. This was my surprise birthday getaway that my girlfriend planned for me and I was upset with the fact that the Hotel DIDN'T meet our specific needs. One in particular was the baby crib. My girlfriend emailed the Hotel and requested it, they replied saying: "They'll be happy to let us know that the property has confirmed they can arrange this for us", but didn't until the next day. Two. It wasn't the suite that we expected, and advertised on it's website. Three. The fitness room and breakfast was lame. I wouldn't stay here again nor recommend anyone.

The assistant manager, Maria (older lady with grey hair), tried to back charge me the day after my family came to check in to the hotel - an extra $40 to be exact. Although this was resolved, the very act of doing something like this is very distasteful. On top of that, I sensed a level of unprofessionalism from her, as she complained about her 14-hour workshift. Pertaining to the hotel itself, it smelled like cigarettes in the common areas, as well as inside the elevator. I have learned a valuable lesson from this experience: stick with the Marriott or Hilton.

Stayed 1 night after wedding and the room was roomy & very clean. They gave us a Rose & Champagne. (Thank You)
