Red Roof Inn Milford – New Haven

This is a great place to stay whether it is short-term or long-term. The location is convenient, literally right next to the I-95 so it makes it easy for me to get to places. There is late night food around, the mall is close by, and so is Walmart and other stores. The staff is super nice and welcoming. Some of the customers can be rude but they handle it so well with so much professionalism. Checking in and out is made easy. The rooms are really clean, you can control the air climate, the bathrooms are clean. I've never had a dirty room or dirty sheets here. I actually see the wonderful housekeepers go into every room, strip the beds, and do laundry on the main floor so I KNOW they are cleaning the materials. This place is pet friendly which is a huge plus for me because I often travel with my cats. Love it!! It's the only hotel in this area that I go to. It's worth the money and I feel safe there.

The room was sufficient. Unfortunately my experience was marred by other patrons. The bed wasn't very comfortable either. The pillows were fine. The room was clean. The lighting was sufficient. I was on the third floor, the elevator worked fine. I had no issues with the keycard. An average experience depressed by circumstances out of the hotel's control.

During a business trip over the last month, I had the honor of working with this property for my lodging needs. The amazing staff here truly goes out of their way to ensure that guests are taken care of. The rates are amazing, and with free upgrades, dedication to a comfortable stay, and the convenient location, my team and I will stay no where else when in the area. I want to personally thank Peter, James, Victor, Tiffany, Costa, Mark, and Johnny (no particular order) for their amazing service at the front desk. The maintenance and housekeeping staff are second to none. Again, we will not stay anywhere else. =)

Cheap hotel and you get what you pay for. Not bad, but fair at best. Decently clean, quiet, and the beds are pretty good, albeit just full size if you get a room with 2 beds. They don't like to answer the phone when you are trying to get that receipt they were supposed to email but never did, deadbolts don't engage, power outlets not flush with the walls, bathroom doors stick, bathtubs don't drain, light switches have to be jiggled, people standing right outside your non-smoking room chain-smoking, etc.

Near where I needed to be. A roof, four walls, a bathroom. It was clean. No baboons hiding in the closet. That's a plus. I hate when a troop of baboons is waiting to tear into a guy just trying to get his head down for the night. Duncan Donuts near by for a quick coffee in the morning as I continue my trip. And no damn baboons.
