Hampton Inn Waterbury

This hotel is nice and the staff is very helpful! Nice clean rooms. Waterbury has some interesting old churches and buildings. If you are there on business and don't know the area, stay away from downtown Waterbury at night. The business area is decent and safe enough to shop in, even at night. There are some good restaurants in the area.

Clean rooms and great staff!! The pool is a little tired and could use a refresh also we had 2 conditioners but no shampoo which we didn't realize until we were getting up at 4am for our event. Overall mostly what I expect from a Hampton Inn but a few things put this at 4 instead of the usual 5 stars.

It's a Hampton Inn. It was fine. Quiet room. Nice hotel. You never really can go wrong at a Hampton Inn.

Our room was super cold, and the a/c had wet a large area of rug. We got that fixed the next day. Large room, good layout. firdge and microwave; usb charging outlets. Luggage carts and elevators. Alarm clock and phone in room, free but slow wifi. A lot of traffic noise in rooms facing the freeway.

It was clean, I will say that. However, it was heavily perfumed from air freshener, and the odor was overpowering. There were dozens of preteens running rampent up and down the hallways screaming all night. I was never able to get in the pool, the one reason I booked there. The pool was tiny, 5ft at deepest and filled with diving, running spashing kids till close at 10. I love kids, and have chaparoned many teen trips, but have never seen such behavior. I will have to find something better for frequent trips to Waterbury. Funny, because the Hilton name used to mean something.
