Best Western Plus North Haven Hotel

I was here in June 2017 for a wedding ceremony in the area. The room they put me in was pretty beat up - appliances were broken and some of the wall outlets had been removed (as if someone was still in the process of working on the room). Add in that there was construction going on right outside my room, and I can safely say I didn't feel very welcomed. That said, I'm not much of a complainer, so I bore with it. : I'm adding this part, because I believe it's a relevant detail that should be mentioned. Very soon after staying here, I had a bed bug infestation in my apartment. It was not immediately clear where the infestation came from, and there has not been another incident in my building since mine. At this point, I can only assume that the bugs came from this hotel as it was the only place I'd been prior to the incident. Given the condition of the room I was put in, I'm not surprised. Fair warning: it's worth checking the mattress before you unpack.

The only good part of the hotel were the two ladies who checked us in on Friday, May 25th around 3:00. They were nice and courteous. Other than that, I had a bad experience with this hotel. If you’re thinking of using it for a room block my advice is don’t! I set up the room block the beginning of this year and was told I had the option to add more rooms. About 2 months before the room block expired I tried to add more only to be told the rest of the hotel had been booked. Whenever my dad or mother n law tried to call the hotel they were placed on hold for an extended period of time, to the point they had to hang up and call back. Also one of my bridesmaids tried to add another night to her hotel room and was told that the hotel needed to contact me and ask if it was okay. I never received a call and 2 weeks later she hadn’t either. So she called back and another person told her she had been given the wrong information. While we were there there was a baseball tournament going on and the hotel was full of young boys running up and down the hallway and being very loud to the point my cousin couldn’t sleep. Then the next day I went to breakfast and when I came back all of the towels had been taken out of the room. I asked for one and they said they didn’t have any available. Another guest I was in the elevator with complained of the same thing. I would not stay here again. Save yourself the trouble and don’t stay at this hotel.

This was by far my family's favorite place to stay. We had two adults and two tween girls. The hotel staff took the time to know us, people genuinely asked us how we were, the manager was incredibly helpful and absolutely runs a tight ship. Our room was a great size and after 10 pm is quiet time and they stick to it! Security is right now top of it.The pool is saltwater and super clean with lots of chairs to relax in. The free breakfast was amazing and super filling Our only complaint would be the pillows BUT we have memory foam at home and aren't used to normal pillows. We came for a gymnastics meet but we would come back to stay just to have a mini vacation!

Very polite & Accommodating staff. Room was clean , we were staying over for a wedding. Food at the sports bar was good, complimentary hot breakfast was nicely done with a lot of options & food was good. Rates were reasonable.

I stay at this hotel pretty often. I need a pet friendly hotel near my agility competitions. The staff is always extremely helpful in putting me in the right room for my situation. Thank you!
