Monte alban is a favorite of us locals. The food is awesome. Simple and casual, but delicious with great friendly service. I love the enchiladas. My meat eating friends love the mole. The corn cake that comes with your meal is delightful. And probably the best chips and salsa in Hartford.

Having grown up in Texas, I'm a bit picky with my Mexican food. For New England, this is pretty spot on. My only wish is that the chips could have been fresher. Granted it was a hot and rainy day, but they were a bit stale. The taco and enchilada were great though!

Love this place. Been here a few times and thoroughly enjoyed it each time. If you are looking for good authentic Mexican food you won't be disappointed.pricea are fair, portions are good and the staff is friendly.
