We've been using Mr Pool since they first started business in Montgomery. If you'd asked me 2 years ago, I would have given them a better rating. But their business has grown too big to give the kind of service I am used to getting. I'll try to make this short. I determined my pool had a leak. They referred me to American Leak Detection who charges $350 to locate the leak. But American Leak wouldn't come out until the green pool was clean. The pool was green because of the leak. Adding water everyday kept diluting any chemicals I put in the pool. So I did my own research, bought a test kit, and learned how to clean my pool the fastest and cheapest way. After a month and the pool still green, I needed a service call from Mr Pool because the pump wouldn't vacuum out on waste. Matt came several days later and fixed the problem. Then he proceeded to GUARANTEE a clean pool in four days if I bought 4 certain products and followed his instructions. I did so, only because I was frustrated after a month of cleaning/shocking the pool with little results. Matt used the phrase "I guarantee it" at least four times. So I bought the products at Mr Pool, and $250 later, there was NO change in the pool. I went back to Mr Pool a week later to talk to Matt, but he wasn't there. When I relayed the story to Jonathan, he and the woman there acted like they'd never heard that way of doing things before, and said so. He then offered me a bottle of Pool Aid for free. It did nothing either. I went back to my own way of doing things (10% bleach, borax, & baking soda), and two weeks later my pool was clean. I should have been more patient. After I got it crystal clear, I called American Leak Detection. For $350, Wes "located the spot" where the plumbing was leaking. I would need to break concrete in a 5 ft section to repair it. I called Mr Pool to get an estimate, and I'm still waiting. After two weeks of waiting, I called Hughes Pools. They came right out. Hughes ran their own pressure test, determined which pipe was leaking, cut it off, and rerouted the flow to avoid the leaking pipe, all for the cost of a service call. No breaking concrete. I would also like to mention that when I did get the pool clean, I took a water sample to Mr Pool so I could see if we were getting the same test results, and also to see how much salt I needed to get my salt system running again. A salt system requires a higher level of stabilizer, so I planned to purchase stabilizer from them. The woman tested my sample with strips, not chemical drops. I will say my numbers were more precise, but that wasn't an issue. She told me everything looked fine, except I needed calcium. I told her I wasn't worried about the calcium because I had a vinyl pool (gunite pools need calcium to prevent scaling), but that I wanted to get some stabilizer. She argued, rather condescendingly, that I didn't need any stabilizer, but that I needed calcium. She made no attempt to sell me the stabilizer. How dumb is that? Anyway, I left. Without stabilizer. And I ordered test strips for salt online. lol My time with Mr Pool is over. My advice to pool owners is to do your own homework. You CAN maintain your own pool without expensive chemicals. My advice to Mr Pool is (1)Never guarantee anything. You're just ripping off your customers. (2)Hire more people if you can't answer calls within a reasonable time. (3) train your people better, and (4) NEVER talk to customers like their stupid.

We LOVE our pool and deck renovation by Mr. Pool! We consulted with two other companies during planning, but Mr. Pool was by far the most knowledgable and professional. From Matt, who handled the initial planning and pricing, then taught us how to use the finished system. To Ryan who surveyed out yard and did the detailed construction planning; through Jose who supervised construction and ensured the deck and patio were exactly what we wanted before the concrete was poured; to the teams of workmen who never seemed to tire. Everyone was professional and extremely hard-working.
They gave us a beautiful new pool and deck. We look forward to spending many years enjoying our pool with friends and family. We cannot say enough good things about the Mr. Pool team!

We started looking into pool companies, just to get ideas, planning on getting a pool next year. We met with a few local companies and weren't impressed with the "sales pitches". A good friend told us to call Mr. Pool, said "Ryan is a great guy!"
Ryan is a true professional! Answered every question, put our minds at ease and even came up with a few great ideas that worked well for our yard! This company is like a well oiled machine, everyone works together and gets their job done and in less than 10 days our pool was ready!!! Love it! So thankful for our friend recommending Ryan(Mr. Pool) and a huge Thank You to Ryan and everyone that brought our awesome pool to life!!!

Mr. Pool built us a pool, and we could not be happier. From the initial appointment to the end. They came out and spent time with us explaining about pools and made recommendations on what pool would fit our needs best. Quality company.
