Reviews
I recently chose south east pool builders for our new pool construction. I shopped around many pool builders and Chose Southeast because he could give us the pool we wanted in our price range. The job was finished in a timely manner even with certain challenges with the weather. We are pleased with the finished product.

Looks like Rob Keesee owns this "pool business" also, so I will leave a review. A friend of ours who owns a pool service business recommended (Rob with Ecological Pools) It was a nightmare from day one. We are still dealing with the messy job almost three years later! I would not recommend his company to anyone!

If I were able to give less than one star, it would be lower. Where to begin?
I began working with Buddy Sullivan, Senior Pool Design for South East Pool builders back in 2016 when they were still called "Blue-haven"
I say that only to show exactly how well planned this project was prior to the start date. During the planning stages Buddy came out to our home on several separate occasions and helped to pick a location for the pool, complete with measurements and promises of perfection.
On April 13th 2017 contract was signed, deposit was paid and we were given a tentative start date of May 5th.
May 17th 2017 - Excavation Day Buddy and crew arrive with Owner Rob to map out and dig hole for the pool. Suddenly our pre picked location wasn't possible after a year of planning. That was the first of many issues, from there it began a downward slope of poor communication, sloppy and careless work, lack of accountability and more.
The crew showed up when they wanted, with no real "workday". We never knew when or if they intended to continue. Day one- all of the supplies for the pool were brought out and placed in our yard for the entire duration of the installation, regardless of the weather.
May 19th 2017 - I arrived home from work early to check on the work that was being completed. At some point that afternoon, the crew severely damaged my privacy fence and brand new dog kennel that we purchased just prior to the pool construction. I understand things like this happen, but rather than come to me and take responsibility for the damage the crew left without so much as an apology. I immediately contacted Buddy, about the damage and included pictures. I received no response that day, or the next. After several calls and messages left, he finally spoke to my husband only to tell him " it will be taken care of" NO explanation to when, how, and still no apology.
May 20th - May 26th - no show for the crew, no communication, nothing.
May 27th -Crew shows up at 11:30 am and worked til 2:00pm. Crew member apologized for the damage- stating he didn't notice it. (The entire back fence was leaning and several posts cracked, but you didn't notice it??)
5/29 Holiday- Understandable No Show
5/30 - 5/31 No show.
Several times we reached out to Buddy about the lack of communication and our concerns about the condition of the so-called debris free workplace which was left with the crew's clothes, water bottles, beer bottle tops, cigarette butts, Styrofoam, and other trash from the pool parts that were just left anywhere, including 3 inch nails scattered throughout my yard. When they finally came back to back fill the pool they just piled dirt on top of the trash, instead of cleaning it up.
I understand that weather plays a part of when and what work can be completed, but there was no excuse for the lack of communication.
The lack of communication was unacceptable not just as far as the pool installation, but more so that my property was damaged and they still had yet to explain how it " would be taken care of"
The crew put the pool pump in the wrong place without consulting us, was just one of the results of the lack of communication. After addressing it, we were told well its too late to change it now. I was extremely dissatisfied with the whole process, so I had my husband take over dealing with them.
My husband gave Buddy a chance to resolve our concerns, but when that didn't happen, he got in touch with Rob the owner. Sadly it didn't fix the issues.
On June 13th my husband called Rob the owner directly and expressed the concerns we were having with the project. Rob said that he was aware of all of the issues but didn't feel it was important enough for him to contact us. He said again everything would be taken care of. His nonchalant attitude throughout the process was down right insulting. To be continued- due to character limitation...

Part 2
June 14th again no call no show. We had to reach out to Rob again to find out why no one showed again. He texted back that they were catching up other jobs and it would be completed by the weekend. I sent Rob 14 pictures detailing the extent of the issues and he replied that he doesn't make money having to come back and fix things.
June 21st after the pool was "completed" Scott came out for what they call pool school. When Scott came out I expressed several concerns including the pool missing the bench seating in the deep end, the fence still being broken and my concerns about the decking that was poured wrong with huge gaps between the concrete and the ground. Scott said he would let Rob know.
Rob never contacted me about any of my issues but on July 12th he texted me asking for additional payment. I replied that the job was still not finished and my property was still damaged. I sent 9 more pictures of the damage and the shoddy work and his reply was "If you don't have the money just say so". This is no way for an owner of a company to act when a customer is providing you with valid concerns and pictures. It has never been about the money; which we will gladly take care of as soon as the damage to our property is fixed properly and the job is completed.
Word of Advice- do not choose this company- It Is not worth all this headache. You would be better off doing the job yourself.
