The museum of the Cherokee people is filled with many Incredible artifacts most are tools that were used by this people. Some of these artifacts include are tomahawks, fish hooks, baskets, and clay pots. This museum does a great job of showing the culture of the Cherokee people. There are many sections related to famous Cherokee people including Sequoyah who was the founder of the Cherokee written language. There is also a great gift shop at this museum, where you can show you support of the Cherokee people with a t-shirt, a coffee cup, or beautiful jewelry. If you want to learn more about the Cherokee people you should visit this museum.

This museum is a wonderful value, and a very efficient exhibit, in that within 90 minutes, one can trace very well the history of the Cherokee Indians, and it is well presented both for children and adults. The gift shop also has a lovely offering, with fairly reasonable pricing, which is surprising for a museum gift shop. The staff were also very professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to the mission of educating others about the Cherokee people.

Very fair entry price is more than worth the experience. On the surface you may think the museum is lacking. It’s a bit rough around the edges, and at first appears old and outdated. But by the end of your visit you will see this is an amazing museum telling and amazing story of struggle and proud history. Excellent artifact collection is well interpreted. Visuals and audio are amazing. The exhibits are clearly curated by a professional historian as the are balanced and present multiple viewpoints of controversial subjects. I cannot recommend visiting enough.

Nice clean museum. It has some interesting artifacts. Nothing interactive and it is a little difficult to keep children occupied as the will get quickly bored. It is all self guided and I only saw employees selling tickets and the gift shop. I am not sure it is worth the $11 per adult price tag as it is small and you can go through it in about an hour.

This is simply a top-of-the line museum. I am stunned by its quality. I don't know where they get the money for it, but it is world class. The museum begins with a video telling the story of the Cherokee, but it isn't just a video; there are special effects all around the theater, lightning flashes at the periphery of the aisles, etc. And the price of admission includes an audio set with headphones that pick up sensors on the side of the wall, so that you always hear a dialogue which explains what's going on.
The museum takes you on a chronological journey moving from prehistory on to the arrival of Europeans, first contacts, and all that played out thereafter. And each stage of the journey is punctuated with state-of-the-art holograms, amazing murals, interactive exhibits - and on and on.
In the museum's foyer, there were two or three members of the Cherokee nation who could explain various aspects of the culture. One was well versed in oral history, while the other was demonstrating a thousand aspects of Cherokee handicrafts. And the gift shop was even amazing! The whole thing was unbelievable! Recommended!
