Ochsner Extended Care Hospital of Kenner

I was well cared for. Experience was positive. Great hospital in my opinion.

I’m an Ochsner employee and on Friday my husband was admitted into extended care in Kenner the first night things were perfect staff was wonderful Saturday something even Sunday But Lord when Monday came the environment became so different the nurse and the CNA came into my husbands room with such a nasty attitude she introduced her self and didn’t say another word the CNA never interacted at all when I arrived that evening about 6:30 I asked the nurse and the CNA how often do they turn there pt’s the CNA response was every 2 hrs he said that he had just turned him an hr ago but he was getting ready to get off I left there at 9:15 pm no one had come to turn my husband over to his side . I’m hoping this dose not become a situation but Imbconsidering putting a monitor in his room on nite when I can’t be there But I will be talking to someone about this

Doesn't even deserve 1 star. More like minus 5. My daughter, who is 7 months pregnant, was told she had an infection and needed intravenous antibiotics. She was in there 3 days and got no medication. Then she was transferred to lake pines psychiatric hospital. According to them she was mentally unstable. I don't know what is going on. Can't find out. They won't talk to me. DON'T GO THERE OR ANY OCHNER. I went to OCHNER Jeff hwy last year throwing up blood. They let me sit throwing up in the outer waiting area for almost an hour . Wouldn't even get me a bag . Blood all over the floor. Finally took me back did a few checks on me and SENT ME HOME. I went to East Jefferson hospital. I was in there for a week.

A close family member was in this facility for 3 weeks. The only reason i am giving 1 star is because a few employees did their job and cared....my family member was neglected and abused while she was in this place. The only reason i am posting this review is to alert people not to send your loved ones to this facility. My family member is now suffering from anxiety and flashbacks.

Day time crew is good, but night crew is horrible if you're not able to be with your love one Lord help you. They are lazy and have no respect.
