My computer screen started flashing so I dropped my all in one computer off for the free diagnostics test that they offer on Thursday morning about 9:30 A.M. The repairman told me that the test takes 2 to 3 hours so they would give me a call with the results when it was finished. Office Depot finally called me at 5:30 P.M.to say that Windows Explorer was corrupt. They said that they could fix it for $149.99 if I wanted. I agreed so the repairman said that it should be ready for pickup that evening or first thing in the morning. I didn't hear from them so I called them after I left work at 4:30 P.M. on Friday. The repair department said that they had removed all of the malware but were still finishing it up so it should be ready in an hour to an hour and a half for pickup. Office Depot then called me two hours later to ask me for additional information regarding what events took place around the time that the computer stopped working properly. He said that my computer screen was still flashing so he wanted to check other possibilities that may be causing my problem. So as of right now, two days after I dropped off my computer, I am still no closer to it being fixed than the moment I dropped it off. I would advise Office Depot to not give customers time frames in which they can't keep and to not tell customers that they can or have fixed their computer issue when they can't or haven't. I'm picking my computer up from there this morning regardless whether it is repaired or not. If I had taken it to a competent professional to begin with it may have been fixed by now.
