After ordering an office chair online from a different company, it arrived via UPS damaged. We were having an important client meeting and I had to have a chair THAT DAY. As much as I dislike going to the local brick and mortar, I braved the traffic and went.
The sales associates were very helpful and I had no problems being assisted.
They even helped me put it in my cars trunk for me.
Couldn't ask for more.

Been going to Office Depot for years, great store and sales! I hope they stay in business. My wife and I prefer Office Depot over Staples.

Let me start by saying, I truly hate even writing something like this. I know most people are so quick to complain over any little issue, and that is not my intention.
Let me also say, I worked in customer service for years and my experience was awful enough that I still felt compelled to write this.
I first had my online order sent to the wrong store. When it was finally sent to the right store, I was now being charged $68 for an order I already paid for online for $27. Diana, the operations manager, and a sales associate, Jenna, assisted me. After nearly an hour of trying to sort out this pricing ordeal, I was left standing at the counter in tears in front of the entire store with no consolation, apology, or literally even a single word or acknowledgment of existence. The treatment was nearly inhumane.
There was absolutely zero willingness to help me, zero professionalism (in the very few words they even spoke to me at all), and to top it off, they laughed at me for not wanting to pay a higher price than what I had already paid online.
After stating that a higher price was not "something I could just deal with", I was berated by Diana for the fact that she has to start the checkout process over every time the price didn't come out right, which also led to it being my fault then that it was taking so long.
I don't find it necessary to go through every example of pettiness that was present in this exchange, and I know for certain that the employees will dispute it and dismiss me as some "crazy customer" (I did it to many people myself in my CS days).
However, I wanted to make it clear that very sadly, unfortunately, and more importantly, unnecessarily, Office Depot has become a place I will never step foot in again. I write this in hopes that something can be done to prevent others from feeling this way and making this same decision in the future.
I have never left an establishment feeling more unimportant, humiliated, and frustrated as I did today leaving Office Depot. Thank you, Jenna and Diana... what a shame. :'(

I ordered a desk here. I live in a new development and the delivery company was no particularly good at contacting me. That experience was painful, but Shari, one of the store managers, had them drop it off at the store. I was able to pick it up from there and it was in perfect condition. Got a great deal on the desk. Overall, pretty good experience with a few minor hiccups. The store staff was fantastic.
