Keep away from these people. Got a prescription from somewhere else. Needed a specific brand / lens for work. This was one of the few places who carried it within my insurance. First: They will NEVER answer their phone. Ever. Leave a message and they'll get back to you -- if they feel like it. Started calling on November 30th. Spoke to someone December 5th. Finally spoke to Racine. Had several questions she was unable to answer. She contacted the provider and then relayed their info. There was a slight issue with a preapproval on my insurance and she told me to contact them to have it resolved. I thought that was weird; as a vendor who works with insurance all the time, why wouldn't SHE do it? Still, I honestly didn't think twice about it until my insurance company representative, herself, asked "Why aren't THEY calling about this?" I replied I didn't know. December 7th: I placed an order and Racine ordered frames and expected a 48 hour turn-around. Time was of the essence for me. December 13th: Six days later, left a friendly, detailed message on the phone that's never answered. No response. December 18th: Left another message, eleven days after the original order date. No response. December 19th: Left a third message. Returned by an unidentified person, leaving a voicemail that the frames were in. I returned the call to the number left in the voicemail, and instead got "Seattle Eye Care," the affiliated doctor's office. I was told they were pretty much one-in-the-same and was transferred back to Racine. Surprise! Phone not answered. Super frustrated now, I called back and asked if there was anyone else I could speak with OTHER than Racine; the person on the phone took my name, phone number and understood I was highly frustrated. He said a manager would call me back. Guess what? Nada. The next day, December 20th, almost three weeks after I started the process and almost two weeks after the original order, I went with another provider. The benefit approval from Optimeyes was still showing on my insurance and needed to be removed. I called and left a message for "Shawn" in accounts payable / receivable to remove the hold, requesting a call back. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, you guessed it. No response. Keep far away from this place. I have no idea how or why they run their office the way they do. For that matter, if they are as callous, dismissive or unresponsive as they were here -- in an experience that is entirely tangible and quantifiable -- it begs the question: How good are their doctors? If you have somebody poking around in your eyes, coming to conclusions and providing a service that you, yourself, have no idea is valid, reasonable, or accurate, but yet you can fully understand the tangible indifference and dismissiveness of their staff and associated professionals, how could you then trust the intangibles of a doctor visit? I wouldn't. This experience was inexplicable. I wouldn't trust my eyes to anyone in this organization.
