People's Trust Insurance

I received notice today they are cancelling my policy with no claims after 8 years due to a surprise inspection of my home. When they called, they said they would be checking for wall and foundation cracks but no one said anything about coming inside. When James arrived, he said he was going to take pictures for 45 minutes inside my home. He was extremely rude to my daughter when she questioned this. He gave me a folder when he arrived that said. "What to expect during your home inspection" which would have been helpful in advance and useless at the time of inspection. The reasons for cancellation include "improperly stored personal possessions" as well as "unrepaired damages." I called to ask what the damages were and I was told 2 holes dug in my gated backyard by my dog and calcified shutoff valves. I think they are just looking for reasons to pull out of FL. People's is a company that no one should trust.

Very professional and courteous. Always have beneficial information in email postings. Sometimes hard to get a hold of on the phone but so is everybody else! I like them as my insurance company.

Bad service. Company denied my roof coverage stating not hurricane related when in fact damage happened during hurricane. They based their decision on roof inspector hired by them. Of course, he sided with insurance company. Insurance company denied roof claim based on that, leaving my roof without coverage. Very unfair!!! Janice C., Miami, FL

This is by far the worse insurance company I have ever dealt with,I live in Fort Myers Florida one of the areas affected by Hurricane Irma my roof was devastated, I filled a claim in October of last year, after the hurricane hit, it’s been now 8 months, PTIC has refused to do anything about it. I’ve been a paying customer for over 13 years, never filed a claim. Yes, their premiums are cheaper than any other insurance company,!but always keep in mind you only get what you Pay for. If anyone is looking to purchase home owners insurance, do yourself a favor and stay away from this scamming company. Check out the website “YELP”, and look at people’s trust Insurance horrible reviews, from very dissatisfied customers, that are still waiting compensation from this terrible company, those are real reviews, they’ve only earned a single star there, due to so many angry customers that are still waiting for their claims to be settled Stay away from Peoples Trust Insurance!!!!

Perfectly fine with me....and with my property in Miami..affordable prices. Great choice made after 9 years of paying thousands to Citizens Ins. Thanks for your service People Trust...and insurance that i recommended .
