Pep Boys Auto Service & Tire

I have never had a major repair here, just my oil changed. They were super friendly both over the phone as well as in person. Everyone I have spoken to has always been more than helpful at explaining things to me. They were quick to get the oil change done, very attentive, professional, and pleasant to converse with. No complaints here!

I was in need of an emergency repair last week. On my way home Thursday night my tire went flat. I first called Firestone they told me "maybe tomorrow" and that they closed in 10 minutes. Frustrated I called the Pep Boys and they said "come on in". When I arrived about five minutes to close the man working, Jim showed me my tire had blown up. He recommended a new set of tires and told me they would stay late to take care of me. I am very grateful for the extra time they took and I WILL recommend them to everyone. Jim and the guy working in the garage treated me like a king. The place was clean and very welcoming. Thank you Pep Boys!

Fair prices and good service while you wait. Young man at the counter very polite. Gabe did a great job with Tires, mount & balance, with an alignment. Rides like a Cadillac! Will be back! Thank you

Very shady place. Employers are rude, don’t smile and don’t welcome you to the store. My car broke down and it was the closest place the tow could take me to, so I went with it. As soon as I got there my gut was telling me to leave, but then I would have to pay for a tow again and my budget couldn’t afford that. I don’t understand cars, so I’m not sure how much I got scammed, but they charged me over $600 for a belt issue, which seemed really over priced especially cause I had just gotten a new belt less than 6 months ago. When I went to pick up the car their manager was a little more friendly, but still couldn’t answer all my questions. I just felt scammed and wouldn’t recommend the place. Another issue I had was that they told me they could get me a Lyft ride for free so I wouldn’t have to sit around and wait there, and when I looked at my card later I was charged for it, so that was really upsetting. I do not recommend this place at all.

I would never recommend this place to anyone and we live less than a block away. Spent the last two days getting the run around from multiple people. Jim the manager was great at first but is clearly not leadership material. Jim decided not to clue any of his techs or assistant manager in on what we had spoke about the day before while he was out of the store. The assistant manager Freddie decided to hang up on me when I called in to complain about how the tires I ordered still weren't there and my wife had now shown up to our second appointment with them. All I wanted was for two tires to be changed out. Clearly this is not within their forte as it was a bigger hassle than just buying a whole new car. Thanks for the two free oil change coupons. I'll give them to the neighbor that I loath so he can be put through the misery known as Pep Boys. I would never take my car to your location again in fear of your incompetent leadership screwing up something worse than a tire change.
