Pep Boys Auto Service & Tire

The New Lenox store is really great! I have not had the same experience at other auto service shops. But I would let these guys work on my car anytime! They are well qualified, courteous, and do great work for a reasonable price.

We have had to use pep boys in New Lenox twice in the last month for tires and a battery for our cars. Best prices and incredibly friendly employees no matter who we dealt with.

If zero stars were possible that’s what they would get. First I sat there for and hour, only for them to come in and tell me they couldn’t find the oil filter. I was there for a simple oil change on a vehicle that the oil filter has been in the same place since the Colorado was rereleased. Their “Chevy guy” couldn’t find it though. So I went and showed them where it was. After another half hour they were done. When the next oil change was due, I did it myself, when taking out the oil filter I realized the original GM part was still in there, they never changed the filter, but I was charged for it, and when looking at my oil it looked like it had never been changed either, but I was charged for one. Scumbags!!!

Got a same day appointment for my oil to be changed and for my tires sensors to be reprogrammed. Unfortunately my car didn't have the sensor but the technicians were extremely helpful! Very fairly priced and they usually have nice coupons! Special thanks to Chris and Justin for a great experience go see either of them for service. High recommend
