Pep Boys Auto Service & Tire

I was coming in from Mobile to Gulf Shores. I had a hole in my tire and the tire would not hold air. I stopped in to ask if they would put the spare on for me. I had already purchased tires at another tire store in Gulf Shore, and just needed to get there. The manager told me it would be approximately a 45 minute wait. The manager personally came out and looked at my car. It did not take 45 minutes at all. They were very professional and I appreciate good people who take the time to do the right thing!

My wife pulls up at 6:07 with a nail in her tire. Your advertisement states you are open till 7pm. She’s told that you are closed and can’t help her. She has to drive all the way back to foley to get it fixed then she can drive home safely to Pensacola. Very disappointed. By the way, she made it back to Foley and went to Walmart. She got there at 655 with 3 people ahead of her. They took care of her and stayed late. Get this, they didn’t charge her because she was so upset about what had transpired at your store.

They charged me for putting a water pump on, when it was not the water pump, but a thermosenser. But they had to have their money for putting it on, anyway.

Tried to sell me a high dollar part that wasn't actually needed ! Thank goodness I called my brother in law before I went through with the purchase! I am a Woman but Not A Stupid 1 !

Car broke down on a Sunday when headed to the beach and was towed there around 11:30 am (only place open on a Sunday and they didn't close until 4 pm).Female at front desk had the worst attitude. She obviously didn't want to be bothered b/c she said they don't do transmission work. I asked if she would just look at it to see if that was the issue (the tow truck guy said he thought it was transmission related) and she reluctantly said she would. After talking about me to another customer (my daughter overheard the conversation), she said the transmission was gone and needed to be replaced which they could do Monday or Tuesday. I felt like she didn't take the time to look at my car so I refused and had my vehicle towed back to repair shop in my hometown which was 168 miles away. All I needed was transmission fluid and I my car has been running well ever since. I wouldn't recommend this Pep Boys to anyone. Not b/c they didn't fix my car, but b/c of the attitude of the clerk/cashier/manager on duty (or whatever her title is) was disgusting. You don't have to like or interact with your customers but you should always remain professional.
