Pep Boys Auto Service & Tire

These guys were great! We had a flat going to Florida and they got us in, tire changed and back on the road quickly! I can’t thank them enough for their hospitality with me and my family(5 and 1 year old kids)! They saved us from what could’ve been a very stressful situation late on a Saturday! We had a blow out on the interstate, on our way back to Fl. with our children in the car on a Sunday afternoon! Called and spoke with manager Ray. He told us there would be a wait, but he would make sure he worked us in to get us back on the road and headed home! I appreciated him helping us out, with us beiung so far from home with our family. Thanks, Ray!!!

I wish I had read the complete reviews before taking my vehicle there. Called and was given a starting price of $70 for a brake job. 300 bucks for oil change and brake job but I left it anyway. Called 3 hours after dropping my truck off and they were just getting to it. An additional 300 in parts, over 600 total, before getting my vehicle back....6 and 1/2 hours after leaving it!! The parts would have cost me 150 if I would have bought them!! Also paid for tire rotation but mysteriously...the tires can't be rotated but the bill DID NOT CHANGE!!!!!

We were traveling down I-65 from Pennsylvania to Texas when the front right hub bearing started making ominous noises. Having had the left one go out previously, we already knew it was important that we stop as soon as possible and get it handled. We called several dealerships in the Montgomery area, but they were all close to closing and the mechanics had gone home. After being told the closing mechanics at Firestone in Prattville weren't knowledgeable in that area, we asked for a recommendation and were told to try Pepboys down the road. The service manager Jason answered the phone and didn't hesitate to tell us to come in. We were 20 miles from the location with the hub bearing squealing the whole way. We made it safely and Jason and his crew quickly and efficiently replaced the failing hub bearing. He even allowed us to bring our dog into the waiting area with us, and let us eat some dinner that we had walked to get. We were able to make it to our reserved hotel room for the night and continue on our way home. Thank you!!!
