Performance Bicycle

On a weekend vacation in Tucson. Gritty noise coming from rear of bike with each loaded revolution of the crankset. This could ruin our little vacation! Herman paused in his heavy workload to help us diagnose the problem. He was so gracious he declined the bill I tried to jam in his hand. Such terrific service with no monetary gain for the shop! If you're in Tucson, buy stuff there! This shop deserves to prosper!

name is Dennis I'm 65 years old and I have been touring the United States since May 1st 2017. Last year I rode my Fuji 2017 touring bike 5846 MI. . So while  taking this little hiatus  in tucson. I would service my bike.. I was replacing my brake cables and derailure cables and housing. I made a mistake and cut my cables wrong. And I wanted to finish that day .   so I took the bus to this performance bike. Evidently they just opened this store in Tucson recently and there was a big piece of plywood on the front door. Pretty obvious someone had just broken in. When I walked in it was almost time for them to close. The two guys that I met we're Dylan and Rudy and after 5 minutes it was the first time in a while that I felt comfortable, and most of all they listened to my needs. On my second visit similar situation where I made a mistake and I needed some parts. And when I walked in the shop they recognize me they acknowledged that they knew me. That is such a great feeling. I think on my 4th visit is when I met excuse me if I spell or save the name wrong but German I think. He's one of the mechanics. The store was kind of busy he was busy. And he stopped to take the time to help me with my problem. I know he's sense I was stressed. I've been having some  unbelievable  problems  with my bike . The man went out of his way to help me out with my problem.  I had a bunch of questions and I was very impressed how three employees at different times .  Told me  that they have a very knowledgeable mechanic named Zach and he'll be in the next day I should really talk to him. I enjoyed the fact  that they spoke of another co-worker  as a key member of their team. . So now I'm back at the store again they're pretty busy. And I sit on the couch and I figure out what guy is Zach. After he finishes with other customers. He came over and sat on the couch with me. And I proceeded to unload all of my problems. And that I only had 12 days to hit my deadline of May 1st. He sat and listen and listened and listened. There's not enough that I can say right now about how comfortable I feel with Zach's knowledge and I know he can find me the right wheel spokes hub that's going to be good for me when I get back on my tour. These guys restored my faith in  Performance Bike . As a matter of fact it must be very difficult for Performance Bike  to  set labor scale and service cost.  because I know there's a lot of people that think that" it's just a bicycle". How could it cost that much to fix my pedals can't you just tighten up the bolts. I've been working on bikes daily for the past 4 years as a hobby. I have the upmost respect for bicycle mechanics. But I could never get the time of day for a little advice from them except my visits at this Performance Bike. These guys rock I like them I am now a customer for life with Performance Bike. Thank you guys I appreciate it so much.

Helped me torque some bolts to spec before starting out on a bikepacking trip. Got the impression that the people working that day don't ride much, at least not mtb (a hip pack? what's that?).

The staff here is amazing and very helpful. We went in close to closing time and they not once made us feel like we needed to hurry. They helped us decide while sharing their extensive knowledge on bikes. I recommend anyone go to this bike shop.
