Petco Animal Supplies

My 3 year-old loves this place! And, you know what they say.... happy child, happy momma! They are always eager to help here! While there are multiple employees who are assets, I am particularly grateful to Holly for her knowledge, informativeness, and patience with my little one! My daughter has had some recent, serious health difficulties, and Holly (& others) has taken the time to be interactive and compassionate! She has nurtured my little one's natural love and curiosity for animals, all while giving my daughter a much needed vacation from her health concerns! It's rare that we miss more than a day or two of going to this location. We feel like family here! Thanks for all that you all do! (Also special mention to Lydia and the lady with the red hair--sorry, can't recall the name. I know I'm likely missing a few others)

Petco is better than their competitor. But their staff was not very good. If you know what you want then it is a place you can shop.

This used to be an ok place to shop, no longer. They no longer carry basic brands of pet foods, the cost of their branded foods are insane. Save your money, go elsewhere. As for aquarium supplies, the livestock is diseased and headed for sure death. Those tasked with caring for the tanks do not understand how to do it, and certainly do not have the concern to care if the fish live or die. They would singlehandly destroy the aquarium hobby if their were no alternatives. To put the icing on the cake, the only employees in the store are the dog groomers. The rest of the employees are outside in front of the store smoking

I have done most of my pet shopping either across McCain Blvd at Petsmart or online at Chewy or Drs. Foster and Smith. But I was looking for a set of steps for my Sugar Baby who is getting older and has trouble now jumping up on the couch. I had seen some on their website and hoped to find something similar to style and price there. (I did). They did have some cute cat beds, scratching posts, toys. I was disappointed that their prices were higher on almost everything over Petsmart. This is especially true on the cans of Fancy Feast that I feed our crew. Their price per tiny can is .60 cents, if you are a Petco Pal! That adds up in a hurry! I don't plan on coming back to shop there on a regular basis, only to look for something that I need immediately that I can't find elsewhere. I don't recall any other staff in the store other than the man who checked me out. He was uber friendly and gave me an awesome discount on the pet stairs, which was in a totally destroyed box! If it hadn't been close to closing time, I would have checked out the rest of the store to be able to give a description of the dog and other animal supplies. Now I know why I have not been inside this pet supply store in years and years! Petsmart is just cheaper for purchases. Sorry Petco.
