Poche's Rv Park & Fish-N-Camp

There's always one who won't rate high and it's my turn. We were given site #1 and told it's one of the worker's favorite. If you have children it is perfect. It's across from the water park, bathrooms and pool with plenty of night time lighting. As you can see in one of the photos, one of the views is a rusted and scraped pool. We are retirees and this site is far from our first choice. Our evening walk showed us there are dozens and dozens of better sites that we're not occupied. If you're not interested in the above amentites, make sure you ask for a site, on the water and away from the office. For us, the rest of the park is beautiful and the staff is friendly.

Wonderful, clean and great people. Love the lakes. Trash picked up twice daily. Bathrooms at pool were clean and looked new. Will definitely come back here often.

2018-03-07 Thru 2018-03-12 Some of the roads from I-10 to the campground were pretty rough but adjusting speed and course when possible around the rough pavement and all was fine. Check in was smooth and we were given a map with all the empty slots marked and told we could have our pick. Drove around the lakes twice and picked spot 28. The road was mostly gravel, and they were making some improvements. Most of the spots are back in to the left, nice angle and you rear is on the lake. Nice cement pad, perfectly level with power, water, and sewer at the rear of the site. Fire rings at every other site. Picnic tables at every site. The sites were close together with very nice grass between on most. With Good Sams rate was $30. per day. Laundry and bath areas were spotless, washing machines and driers pretty new, worked well. Very relaxing campground with fishing at your door. Paperwork and camp staff can give excellent suggestions on local restaurants, all we visited were excellent. The people of the area are warm and friendly. In every restaurant we struck up conversation with locals sitting at nearby tables, all very willing to offer up suggestions about local activities. I very much hope to return one day.

Nice park, roads are really bad. Wi-Fi barely works. But view of lake is really nice. Concrete pads separated by grass. Fishing is free no license required

Our stay in the Festival cabin was awesome. Wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. Will definitely be going back soon & a lot. Cabin was very clean & well stocked. Staff was very nice. We had company over oldest was 73 & grand kids youngest 4 years old. And all ages in between. All enjoyed their visit. Outdoors very well kept up. Water was beautiful. Peaceful quiet Makes you want to keep things up & be respectful of rules. Pool was cool & crystal clear. Playground toys were clean & not all broken. Can't say enough good things about this place.
