Do not rent from a place that does not take pride in the SAFETY of their vehicles. Our car was shaking for our 3 hour drive and when we called to let them know — Emily (the supervisor) argued with my 70 and 80 year old parents asking if the car was “life threatening” and had the audacity to sarcastically ask “did you guys survive the trip” and “Your alive aren’t you”?
Really??? That’s the customer service they respond with? Is if we made it alive to our family event and back??? Customer service and quality of car was horrendous.
When my mother called again to let them know their car was NOT safe to be driving. The woman once again, yelled at her that we should have called a tow company on the freeway for our family of 5 and left the car there. And hung up on us while we called to warn them about the car. Do not rent from a place that does not take pride in their SAFETY of their vehicles.

I rented a car from here and everything seemed great. The price was the lowest in the city, the service was quick. I returned the car as instructed and left the keys with the garage attendant and the E-ZPass I had rented inside of the car. I received a call from Prestige the next morning claiming I had stolen the E-ZPass - I don't have a car in NYC and I go to NJ a whopping 2x per year. I informed them I left the pass in the vehicle along with the keys. They called me for two days accusing me of stealing the Pass and have now attempted to charge me $25 to replace it. It's a money grab and I'd advise others go with another professional rental company.

Horrible experience. $1000 security deposit on debit cards unless your Caucasian . Then the girl behind the counter will lower your security deposit to $500. Absolute scam, shady

Poor service. Clerk came 30 minutes late at 8:30 when the place opened at 8, leaving many customers waiting to pick up our car that was reserved for 8. Didn't get as much as a sorry or explanation for why when the clerk got there. Would never come here again

NEVER. EVER. AGAIN.
I had previously rented from this place and had no problems. This weekend friends and I rented a car. When we put our stuff in the trunk, the attendant had to try a few times to close it, thought nothing of it, thinking a bag strap or something was in the way. WRONG. When we stopped for a quick break, and took stuff out of the trunk, it would not close. Upon closer inspection, the mechanism that locks the trunk looks like it was tampered with at one time, and never fixed properly. It took us more than an hour in the freezing cold and the best we could do with what we had was to rig it so it shut about 90% with a bag strap through the back seats, clanging for the next 2 days of our trip.
When we returned the car, the office was already closed and we were told to call the next day with complaints. More so, the attendant didn't care about our handy work, but he did fiddle with the lock for a few minutes and got it to shut. He told my husband, that if it's reported broken they can't rent it. Which means today some poor person is going to rent the same car and get stuck like we did. When we called to complain and demand a refund, we were told it's too late the cards been processed, no apology either, just too bad, we have your money. Last laugh will be on them, we've disputed the charges.
