Providence Animal Center

Got a cat here. The staff are very friendly and nice. The place is clean and they do a lot of great work there. They have a low-cost vet clinic also. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the adoption process took a little long, although admittedly it was a Saturday and they were very busy. Would definitely recommend adopting from them! They will also let you just take dogs on walks even if you aren't looking to adopt.

Their volunteer staff give better customer service than the people who are actually paid to work here. They will charge you a $20 late fee, even after they clearly see/hear your cat hysterically crying & you explain to them the difficult time you had getting your cat inside their carrier because they’ve NEVER been outdoors before...THEN they tell you there’s another $15 fee for her shots (which also wasn’t what their front desk told us at the time of scheduling)...& then they actually ask us to make a donation to their clinic!?! Seems like they’re more money hungry than actually taking care of their neighborhood pets & customers. By far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Go to the SPAY CLUB in Sharon Hill, your pets will thank you later!

We were highly satisfied with our experience spaying our female puppy at Providence Animal Center! We received a quick return-call after leaving a voicemail inquiring about services. It was easy to book an appointment over the phone and the staff that we interacted with was knowledgeable about pricing and procedures. Our puppy seemed groggy but otherwise cheerful after her procedure and has since healed nicely! 10/10 would recommend!

Great place! Wonderful people caring for the dogs. We have adopted four dogs over the years and they have been the best. There are many dogs here that just need a little patience and a good home.

First dog we got from here was great. That was about 4 years ago. I'm not sure what changed but we went to get a friend for our current dog and us and all they care about is the money and getting the dogs in and out as quick as possible. They do not care about placing the dogs in the best possible home. They are just as bad as puppy Mills. Will not be returning. I'd rather go through an actual shelter that cares about their animals not who can give them the most money the quickest.
