This is the second animal we’ve adopted in the past two years from this SPCA and once again they were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We’ve now adopted both a dog and a cat and had the same great experience with both. I especially appreciate the fact that they are a no kill shelter and the animal you adopt is already up to date on their vaccines and either spayed or neutered. It allows the new owners to focus on bonding with their new pet instead of dealing with all of the initial vet visits. I also think this is much less stress on the animal as well. I would absolutely recommend the SPCA to anyone looking to expand their family with a furry little friend and am forever grateful we did❤️

EVERYONE there was so incredibly nice! Everyone from the ones who helped us with the cats, to the ones at the front desk! They let my fiance and I take our time with the cats we were interested in and let us see which ones we really connected with. They answered all of our questions and you can really see how much they love and care for all the animals there! It really warmed my heart! I will definitely be back there! It was our first time there and it will definitely NOT be our last! Thank you to everyone who helped us bring our new cat home! You're all the best and we couldn't have done it without any of you!

Well, the holidays are here and the Brandywine Valley SPCA has sent out letters requesting donations. I went on to their website to take a look at the Form 990 for the past couple of years to get a feel for how the organization is doing . According to the Form 990 for 2014, Adam Lamb, the Executive Director, was paid $40,866. On the Form 990 for 2015 Mr. Lamb's salary is reported to be $175,712, an increase of $134,846!! I find it difficult to understand how a small, non-profit organization can justify such a large salary . They solicit donations. How much of the money which is donated is used to care for and help animals? How much goes toward executive and staff compensation? It would appear that the Brandywine Valley SPCA is doing quite well. My money will go elsewhere.

I liked how fast and nice everyone was. I particularly like that this spca is a no kill shelter and rescues animals from other kill shelter. I would highly recommend Brandywine valley spca to anyone looking for a pat. They have such a great selection on animals. Its great to see that the minority of animals being adopted within a couple months of being sheltered. Were are very thankful for our new family member patches! Thank you!

The staff cares for all animals left in their care. Dine know how they do it,and make it look so easy. This is why I saw people and their new pets leave so happy. I thank them for what they do.
