Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant - Downtown Murfreesboro

Kind of off the path location wise, but good food and Emily Minor was great tonight. THEY DON'T CHARGE A COVER HERE ANYMORE! The place is wide open for a folk music fan take over. Good bar. Good service. Big enough for a good crowd, to small to be over crowded. Far enough out to be a good locals hangout. Good coffee house vibe that is wide open for a dedicated crowd to gather. Distraction free zone with all of desired casual adult offerings. I hope they can keep the quality of an Emily coming here.

Was really looking forward to showing off Murfreesboro with a visit here that was memorable for how laughingly bad the service was. We went during happy hour afternoon and half price beer was excellent but service was bad. New server can explain some but he was woefully untrained and accidentally let a whole glass of water and ice flying across table. A hot chicken sandwich was so salty it was unfit to eat. Manager apologized. Comped a few drinks and chicken was also removed from the bill but he acted like it was our fault this happened. See water drenched table in posted photos

Ordered the $15 meatloaf dish. It was cold in the middle and dry. The server didn't offer to take it back and warm it up or replace it. He said he would discount it but when we got our bill it wasn't discounted. He said he'd give me a free dessert for the inconvenience. All I wanted was a good piece of meatloaf. Guess I'll think twice about ordering that again. If we even go back.

Great atmosphere and even better food. Southern charm to a tee. Homemade feel and taste. Everything on the menu is good. They also have a ice cream store next door that is connected that is just as good. Defiantly recommend to anybody.

Disappointed in this “new” menu. They should have never changed a good thing! We drove over an hour for the catfish dinner. The website said the lunch special was fried catfish for the day. Looked at the menu and couldn’t find it. Asked waitress and was informed it had been discontinued! Seriously?! That fast?! They kept a BLT sandwich on the menu but are no longer serving fried catfish! Terrible decision. If the owner sees this, please reconsider that and UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE!
