Arnold's Country Kitchen

The line was pretty long, but it moves pretty quickly. I got the meat and 3 with fried chicken, creamed corn, green beans, and mashed potatoes and gravy. The green beans were delicious and had big pieces of bacon in there. The mashed potatoes went well with the roast beef gravy. The cream corn was pretty good and so was the chicken. The roll would have been better if it was warm, but it was still delicious.

Whoa! The roast beef is awesome but I was an even bigger fan of the brisket, I mean out of this world good! This is definitely a place you do not want to miss. The food was so good we ate our lunch including desert in 16 minutes!!! (Edit: sorry, the girlfriend corrected me, it was 13 minutes, ooops) And, as a point of reference, we tend to be on the slow side normaly. Now let me tell you about that desert. First, it was simply given to us. As one of the server/manager was checking on us and heard we were from DC he said "hold on" and came back with a peach pie. A peach pie! Something I would never order because they tend to be way too sweet for me. But this was not your ordinary peach pie. The chunks of peach were huge. They were not too hard nor too soft, a perfect consistency with just the perfect balance of sweet and acidic. All this resting on a perfect flaky crust and topped with a wonderfully soft whip cream. This was not heavy at all. I mean, I would go back just for that pie. Your call

We will definitely return to this place when visiting Nashville again. Food tasted great! Easy diner style. Clean environment. Makes us feel like home. We had fried chicken, fried apple (best I have ever had), hot pepper chocolate pie. Yummy!! Be aware that they have different menu each day during the week.

Changed the outside and inside drastically and it looks good. This visit the food wasn't up to standards of the old place 4/5. It too was good but not "over the top ", like before. 2 meat and threes with drink was $27. A little outrageous. Hope it is not focusing on only tourist business like Loveless does.

How can you not love Arnold's? I worked there a few years ago so I know everything is fresh made from scratch. Locally sourced products is a plus as well. Not to mention, DELICIOUS! Don't be intimidated by the line. The staff keeps it moving very quickly.
