RWJ University Hospital Somerset - Family Practice

I brought my father here twice in the last three months. Ladies at the front desk (afternoon-evening, especially Tues) are great. The doctors however are still in training and dont know how to tell the front desk to give the patients their follow up appointments. It's been over two weeks since my fathers last lab work, they were suppose to follow up so the doctor can put him on treatment for his condition. They were also suppose to call us in regards to what specialist accept his insurance. As soon as we wrap things up I'm going to another doctor.

Doctors and nurses are pretty good. Most of the nurses are helpful with the kids. Have had times where we waited for 2 hours in the waiting room because someone at the front desk forgot to check us in. It’s also impossible to get ahold of anyone at the front desk via phone call... I wait between 15-20 minutes for someone to answer. Yet when you go there, everyone is sitting around talking.

I'm currently sitting outside of there office in my car in tears crying. Iv never felt a staff treat people at a doctors office so unimportant and rude. I made a doctors appointment last week for today at 420 p.m. I work two jobs and had to call out of work plus get a baby sitter for my daughter to rush to my appointment just to be told that my appointment isn't on file and instead they have an appointment for last Wednesday that they said I missed. But I specifically told the lady on the phone when scheduling the appointment that I need it for this day the 9th which is the only day I requested off from my night job. She simply told me I can't be seen and it was a mistake. I'm in SOOOOOO MUCH PAIN and they didn't even care. I'm not even kidding when I tell you iv never felt such disappointment in a staff. She didn't care at all. I asked her if she can write my number down ,and she didn't even ask for my name, because this isn't the first time they've made a mistake when scheduling me and my husband has had issues there too. Trying to even schedule an appointment on the phone takes about an hour of hold time! I can't stop crying as I sit in so much pain. I vow to NEVER in my LIFE go here or suggest it to anyone I care about!!! Time to look for another doctors. :(

The receptionists and office staff at this clinic are the worst I've ever had. Forget about getting them on the phone to make an appointment; I've found it quicker to drive there to make the appointment. I only go there because I like some of the doctors they have there and the place is covered by my insurance.

Making an appointment is a real pain. I have been on hold for more than 30 minutes and still not being able to talk to somebody to make an appointment. And this is not an isolated incident. Happens all the time.
