Saybrook Point Inn & Spa - Luxury Connecticut Oceanside Hotel

The dinner was great and the room we stayed in was very nice. However some, not all of the staff are arrogant and kinda strange. This place could be great but it falls short. My lobster roll was chewy, my message was sub par and weak. She was just going through the motions. I feel like at one time this place was great but it seems to have gone downhill. I may go back if they show they improved. They did not have any recent hospitality awards posted and after staying here it is evident why.

I travel here for my job pretty frequently, and couldn't think of a better spot to spend a work trip. The restaurant is amazing, rooms are always clean, showers have good water pressure and hot water, and the beds are to die for. Almost every room has a fireplace, and you can get the front desk employee to make a fire, for no charge, with a small Duraflame log, at almost any time of year. The indoor pool was recently re-done (they have an outdoor pool, too, which I think it heated!), and they have an awesome hot tub, sauna, laundry facilities, a ton of parking, and a small gym. Highly recommend!

They think themselves better than they truly are. Nice rooms, nice place. Do not get any room near the elevator....you will not sleep. Expensive.

This review is for the Spa/Sauna/Pool area only. The locker rooms are disgusting, dirty, often broken, and poorly equipped, with torn up mats and wobbly stools. The actual lockers look like they belong in an old high school gym, not an upscale spa - the paint is peeling and flaking at the bottom. The pool and hot tub are often so dirty you can't even see the bottom. The hotel staff act as if access to the pool is the most sacred honor, and the different door keys and locks are frustrating, confusing, and annoying. I've had better pool/sauna experiences at Marriott's for a fraction of the price. What they charge here versus what the deliver is just sad.

Lovely stay. The rooms were impeccable, and the staff was very easy to work with. We celebrated our wedding anniversary, and enjoyed the romantic atmosphere. Old Saybrook is a very pleasant town. Well definitely be coming back
