In some ways it's good that I've become so sensitive to sugar that I can't eat much ice cream in one sitting because otherwise I probably would have had a 20 scoop cone. Probably would have blown my food budget for the say, too. I tried 3 flavors, they were all great. Ended up with a 2 scoop cone, before dinner mint and Pavratti. I'm in North Dakota now but am strongly considering going back for the oatmeal raisin cookie I didn't get. Please try the others and let me know how they are.
I recommend you take your cone for a walk through the local neighborhood and enjoy the beautiful historic homes while you walk off some of those calories. If you go far enough you can go back for more!
They also have coffee which looked good but I didn't try it. I did see a coffee roasting machine meaning they either roast it themselves or they have a much larger decorating budget than I do.

Great variety of locally made ice cream. Daily rotating choice of flavors available in cone or cups. There is also a coffee shop and bakery in the same area if you also want a latte. Ample seating with a lot of places to plug in if you needed to do a little work while cooling off with your ice cream.

Yum! I've been coming to Sebastian Joe's for years now and it is consistently the same quality of ice cream, not to mention delicious. They offer ice cream, baked desserts and coffee items. One scoop of ice cream is $4 and two is $5.40 and three is $6 some. The flavors rotate and there are seasonal flavors as well.
I came in last night during the snow storm (very Minnesotan of me) with my family. I got the Nicollet Ave. Pothole ice cream, which was delicious. I'm craving it again just thinking about it.
They tend to be open late especially in the summer. Conveniently located in Uptown in Minneapolis and near Lake of the Isles.

Very nice ice cream and great staff. The good thing is they're open till 11 pm. I saw pretty good cakes there too but I have not tried them. There is a nice area that you can sit there and have your ice cream. At first I didn't realize about that because it's kinda hidden! There are restrooms here too.

I love this place.
I only have two very minor complaints that are easily overshadowed by how great the ice cream is. One is that their spoons are really flimsy for a hard-serve ice cream, but it should be enjoyed in a cone. Two is that I wish there were descriptions for the flavors that were easily visible.
Besides those two things, the ice cream here was wonderful! I got the Salty Caramel and it was smooth, flavorful, and balanced. I thought about getting extras since I never get caramel without chocolate, but this was perfect on its own. Homemade ice cream at it's finest.
