Snake Den State Park Trailhead Parking

Great trails for hiking or running. The trails are well marked by the Rhode Island hiking club. The orange trail is very easy to follow and not get lost. Be sure to follow trail markers because it is easy to follow a unmarked trail and end up a mile away from where you parked your car… Great views four seasons of the year. I had a very enjoyable 3 mile trail run here. The parking for the trailhead is tucked behind the fire department, you have to pull into the fire department parking lot to access the trailhead parking.

There are two main areas to hike at Snake Den. This parking area is for the southern portion of the park that accesses the newer cut trails. Trails meander across fields and through woodland. Currently, the north and south portions do not connect but new trails are being cut so one day they may. Great place to walk the dogs. This is a pretty undeveloped place; maps are hard to come by and trial blazing is spotty so be careful about how to return back to your car.

Good spot, shares the parking lot with fire station so less worry about people stealing stuff.

Great, wide trails. Make sure you wear orange during hunting season, there's signs for hunters everywhere
