Super 8 by Wyndham Copley Akron

The 4 star rating is based on value. I am considering the price I paid ($50 plus tax) - which is comparable to most Red Roof Inns. Pros: -Close to a lot of restaurants, grocery stores, banks, etc. Just about anything you would want or need is within a 2-3 mile radius including a mall. - Friendly staff - lots of parking - for $50 or so a night, the room is decent, clean, and the AC works well - If I need to stay in the area and am looking for value, I can't imagine a better place than this Super 8. Cons: - There are none of those fabric curtains that let light into the room but yet, give you a bit of privacy. I could see other people in their rooms across the courtyard if they had the opaque curtain open. Thus, it is either you open the opaque curtains to let light in and have no privacy, or you have to close the curtains and turn the lights on in the room. - The walls are very thin as you can hear the TVs and conversations from the rooms next door. - The "head board" of the bed is essentially wood nailed to the wall. The walls are thin so at least when I stayed, if I rested my head on the pillow against the "head board", the wall would shake when the next door "neighbor" would be having sex. - They take $100 off of your credit card for safety/deposit. Not a huge deal personally, but for some, this may be important to know before you book this hotel. **Overall, for $50 + whatever tax, this is great value** Having said tthis, prices change all of the time so I'm basing this review on a $50 + tax value.

I never leave reviews. I saw some people left 1 star reviews. I have no clue how. This Hotel was awesome. Especially for the price. I’ve paid a lot more for a lot less. Lady at the desk was the nicest front desk worker I’ve ever talked to. Room was spotless and very up to date. Beds were comfortable, AC worked great. If you left a 1 star you were probably just upset about the 100 dollar security deposit. Next time I’m up this way I won’t even look at other places to stay, this is the place to go hands down. Only thing that I was upset about is I only got to stay one night! Don’t let “super 8” steer you away. This place was awesome and the price was unbeatable!

Really excellent stay. Got a Jacuzzi tub room for under $50. Everything in the room was awesome. Updated and modern, all the amenities I would expect. A was super friendly. Hotel was clean, and family friendly.

Decent hotel with a good price. The staff is not very professional. I had several incidents where I needed to have attention for a room issue and it seems the concern was "blown off". I am a long standing Wyndham rewards and under previous management I never had these issues in the seven years I've stayed at this hotel. I hope they improve their service level because if not they will lose a lot of business. The breakfast is less than impressive.

For a super 8.... This place is attractive. Nice room. No safe. No refrigerator. Staff at the desk was very nice and helpful.
