rooms are good! and ppl working there are amazing ! they spent all day helping me to fix my car ! it was a memorial weekend so there was no working mechanic in area.

BED BUGS!!! Owner told me there is no bed bugs, I told him to come look for himself... he told me I can leave. I said leave with a refund? Hangs up. DO NOT COME HERE!

(Read the update, too. It got better.) (And then it got worse. See photo.) Don't under any circumstances stay here. If you're near the pool, you're going to hear the splashing and yelling and music like it's happening in the room with you. If you ask to change rooms, even if they have vacancies, the Indian guy at the night desk will refuse, insist it's not loud, and have a generally terrible attitude toward customer service. The worst. Don't expect to get any rest here. Update: one bad review, one email, and one phone call later, the night guy is human again and I'm in a *much quieter* room. (And I'm really glad, because if he hadn't taken care of it I was about to call the cops. It was that loud. Touch of Evil loud.) It's an upgrade, but I'm not being charged for it. So, pro tip for the Surfside: if you want quiet in the summer, stay in the two-story part in the back, not the rooms facing the pool and highway. And be really clear about it, don't let them put you in the front part. Second update: Except the room is full of roaches. Most of them dead. But not all! (Well, they are now, until their friends show up, I guess.) Refund, please.

Seems to be in the process of being updated. Check-in was quick, check out was quicker. Was quiet and good for a place to stay with the group we had. Beds seem new and quite comfy. I would not have a problem staying here again.
