Good service overall; just remember, this isn't Burger King. Sometimes "stuff" happens and scheduled appointments run late. The facility is inviting and very well equipped. Staff is efficient, courteous, friendly and caring. Pricing is competitive with 3 other providers in the area. And, very importantly, the surgical center is an integral part of TREC. My doctor was William Riggs, M.D. and I am very satisfied with results of my cataract surgery.

Super fast service. Dr Kyle was so helpful and caring. He gave me a new outlook on life with the LASIK procedure, literally. Super safe and no pain for the procedure. Should have done this sooner!

Expect to wait at least half an hour to 45 minutes to see the doctor, AFTER waiting 15-30 minutes to be taken to a room. I've been coming here for years and this has always been the case. The wait times are always ridiculously long, but I tolerated this as I had lasik surgery performed on me by Dr. Riggs years prior and he knew my eyes. After the following happened, I'm done tolerating this place and will find a better local eye doctor. The office has made minimal effort to get in touch with me regarding an outstanding bill that I was unaware of before sending it to billings. They had the wrong address on file; in fact I hadn't lived there in 6 years. They never asked me if the address was correct or if it changed, but somehow they had my married name in their system and not my maiden name. The bill in question was from an appointment a year ago, and in the TWO times I visited them since then they neglected to tell me of any outstanding bills. I never received a call or email about the outstanding bill, because (according to the woman in billings) they don't contact their clients about billing issues, only appointments. Apparently it's easier for them to contact collections and mess up their clients' credit than it is to pick up the phone and contact the client directly. On the bright side they finally got the money- all it took was a call. On the less-than-bright side, they lost the business of multiple life-long BCS residents and their rating drops that much more on Google.

After many years of wearing contacts I finally got LASIK eye surgery and my life changed! It is the best thing to be able to wake up and see things clearly immediately. It has been wonderful being able to swim and do other water activities without worrying about losing my contacts. Another plus is all of the money we have saved by not having to buy glasses and contacts anymore. Dr. Varvel answered all of my questions and took really good care of me. The procedure was quick and painless. If you are considering LASIK go to Texas Regional Eye Center and ask for Dr. Varvel!

I have been going to TREC for several years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. All the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. But what is important is the quality of service. Top notch! I use Dr. Allison and am very pleased with with him. He takes time to answer all my questions, is very thorough, and never makes me feel rushed. Highly recommend TREC.
