The Fried Alligator

Loved the gator! Wanted to try the shark but it was sold out. The owner/operator was very nice and made us feel welcome. Only complaint was the outrageous price! The owner told us it is because it is so expensive to get the gator, shark, & other items trucked up here. Would recommend.. FYI...THEY ONLY TAKE CASH! But for your convenience there is an ATM right inside .

I will start with the food is very good. 4 stars for the food. We arrived Saturday evening 5:30. Party of 7 and only 2 other people in the restaurant waiting for their food. Gentleman gets our drink order quickly but informs he is still making tea (again, Saturday evening 5:30) and will be a little bit. We get water. He informs us they are out of the vegetable medley, stuffed potato and shark. Roughly 15 minutes we get our waters and order. 10 minutes later informed they don’t have chicken tenders. Over an hour after we order we still have no food but “it should be out soon”. Another 30 minutes it starts slowely coming out. Finally after an hour and 45 minutes we are all eating. I recommend ordering it as takeout so you aren’t sitting forever. Also, we have been several times before but it has been awhile. The portions seem to have shrunk some. Again, the food is good but in my opinion not an hour and a half good. Luckily we had plenty of time for conversation with our dinner party.

This is a great little dive with very good cajun inspired food as good as any I've found in the bayou. It is a small joint and they only take cash but there is an ATM located inside should you need it. The food is outstanding and the service is very friendly. I highly reccomend this place because I'll definitely be coming back.

I had shark,shrimp ,scallops and alligator. Excellent. Then I had the Banannas Foster. WOW , It was Awesome !!!

Great! Seasoning is legit. The man cooked it perfectly. And a very cool guy was working and explained what was what before I ordered. 🤙🤙🤙👍👍👍👏👏👏
