As a current employee (searching for something else) I would not recommend this facilty as a potential employer. Management has little to no working knowledge of what the nursing staff actually does on a daily basis. They are game players and will use and abuse you until there's nothing left. They think we are robots! Consistently work us short staffed and "mandate" unscheduled OT. The health insurance provided is extremely expensive - Most of my paycheck. They offer no incentives to give extra and no shift differentials. In plain English were just bodies Just a number. This company is all about the $$$. Find something else! Anything is better than here!

I applied for a position for The Holiday about a month ago, and was offered a 3rd shift med tech position. To say the least, I was greatly disappointed with their lack of communication. After several weeks into the hiring process (medical records BCI, etc.) I still wasnt told what my rate of pay would be after asking twice. I found this strange so I decided to call and ask the director of nursing (Leslie) personally. She told me that she would call me back with that information and never did. I did not get a confirmed rate of pay until orientation day, which was extremely concerning at this point. When I recieved my packet I saw my rate of pay as a CNA with 4 years experience, plus a med tech certificate, with 9 years total of experience in the medical field) and I really couldn't believe it. Not only should med techs be making at least a dollar more upon certification, but for a 3rd shift position you would think they would pay more. The girl I oriented with said they did not tell her a rate of pay either. They offered me the position, had me bring in all my documentation, pay for a $35 BCI, all without giving me a solid starting rate of pay. I have been a CNA for over 4 years, have a total of 9 years experience in the medical field, so I was completely blown away by the pay rate they offered me, But I've also never had to wait that long to be told what I would be getting paid. Regardless, Med techs are supposed to make $1 more then a CNA, so the fact that their CNA's get paid more than the Med techs is ridiculous.. You have to be a CNA before you can become a med tech so how do they pay the CNA's more? The entire pay scale makes no sense at all. Needless to say I declined the job offer... I was offended to say the least. On top of that, before obtaining BCI, I was told that whether I decided to take the offer or not, the fee of $35 was 100% refundable. They are now telling me that I wouldve had to work there for 6 months to get that money back!! Like I said, the purposeful miscommunication from directors is completely unprofessional and off putting. IF YOU'RE THINKING OF APPLYING FOR A JOB HERE, BE SURE TO ASK FOR YOUR $RATE OF PAY$ AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME FOR ME!!! THE RECEPTIONIST WAS ALSO VERY RUDE, AND GAVE A TERRIBLE FIRST IMPRESSION.... YOU CAN ALSO TELL THAT THEY ARE SHORT STAFFED AND I CAN SEE WHY. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THEY GOT 5 stars. It must be based on resident care and family feedback. I dont know how anyone could be happy working there with the games they play with their staff.... GOOD LUCK TO ALL THAT APPLY
