This facility is not fit for dogs let alone human beings the staff everybody concerned all stink at all about themselves and all they care about is getting paid not about the patients had a meeting now it’s 10 times worse to discuss some of things that were being done they abuse their patients and have different rules for everybody In change them very frequently to fit their needs and they will yes you death. Could care less about the patients No one will say anything that is the patient because they were afraid of them because it only gets worse if they say something and they retaliate

My father was there years ago, reading the posts for the first time I guess things have not changed. After coming off the ventilator at the hospital, ( he had lung disease ), he could not walk and developed bed sores. He had to go to a nursing home for rehab. The nursing home said they could take care of him, not a problem , they said. To make a long story short, they left him in bloody stained sheets, stopped giving him his water pills because they didn't want to empty the container at night, he started swelling up, we didn't know way, left him on the toilet for about an hour, ( he had two hip replacements), very uncomfortable for him. His roommate did not want to say anything to us for fear of retaliation from the staff. Because of the bed sores that were not healing, my mother wanted him transferred back to the hospital, he was in so much pain, so they called the rescue to transport him, the EMTs came and began to work on him, my mom and myself did not know what was going on. Then they took off, we ended up at Fatima Hospital. When we entered the ER he had a huge face mask over his face. I asked the nurse what was going on, she said he had congestive heart failure! I said he came here for the bed sores, she said she knew nothing about that. So they began treatment for that as well. But because the nursing home did not give him his water pills, the fluids were building up in his body. He died days later. My mother was not up to going ahead legally, and at the time I wasn't either, so time came and went, life went on. But these things do go on, our family was there morning, noon, and night, and still this happened. The head nurse tried to lie about it when I approached her. My dad was still alive at that point, so I told her, you dam near killed my father! She didn't know what to say. We got his things, and left, the staff just watched us walk out.

My Mom wants me as her Power Of Attorney and they will not allow it? This is the WORST NURSING HOME I HAVE EVER SEEN! My mother has been there just a little over 2 weeks and it's been nothing but a nightmare To start, they kept giving her a medication she was allergic to no matter who said anything to them. She would be "out of it" for 2 days, then become extremely combative. They kept sending her out for psych evals!! It was simple STOP GIVING HER THAT MEDICATION!!!! Apparently no one would go out of their way and get the records from the Hospital and/or Dr who originally prescribed her the medication and immediately discontinued the medication!!!! The quality of care is absolutely ridiculous!!! I DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!! I was there the first day she was transferred there and 3 CNA's came in. They NEVER drew the curtain, I was standing right there, they tore the blankets and sheets that was covering my mother all the way down to the foot of the bed!!! Removed her Johnny and took clothes and squeezed them over her. Then squeezed soap over her, scrubbed like they were sanding a piece of furniture!!! Never rinsed her, dried her, put another johnny on her pulled up blankets and done!! Right in front of family and that's the treatment?? I was horrified!! Unfortunately, I didn't have any where at that moment to bring her. I would take her home if I had a ramp to get her in my home!! She was moved to another unit because the charge nurse on the unit she was on. I had asked the nurse a question and I was told "she don't like me and I don't care because the feeling is mutual". REALLY??? The unit she is on now isn't any better!!! The CNA's are supposed to be washing the patients, GL with that. They wash the patients private areas and load them up with perfume!!! My mother has told her CNA that she wanted to wait to get cleaned up for the night and the CNA ignored her and washed private area and loaded her with perfume to "make her smell better"?? Maybe if the patients were actually washed, it wouldn't smell!! YES THIS WAS DONE IN FRONT OF ME!!! I've made many complaints and there is never anything done about anything. I went one day and my mom had food on her face, down her shirt, down the sheet and they actually left her like that! I had to clean her up!! Really? She is supposed to be repositioned every 2 hours and I'm there pretty much everyday, all day. I have watched time tick away and not once had she been repositioned, in almost 5 hours! So I say F them and reposition my mom alone, it's not that difficult. At meal time I feel so bad for my moms roommate. She seems to be a very sweet lady, always says hi and I will chat with her. She is unable to feed herself but they leave her tray there getting cold and drinks getting warm. My mom is supposed to be monitored because she's having trouble with swallowing, thank God that is improving!! I have to monitor my mom. I've had to do the hiemlic on my mom and her room is directly across from the nurses station. Her roommate just sits there and looks at her tray. Sometimes a CNA will come in, sit in a chair in a corner and not even attempt to help her eat, just sit and watch her TV!! Ive seen this at almost every meal except one!! I've never seen anyone monitor my mother!! I've taken a stroll down hall and the CNA's go in a room and sit in a corner in a patients room!! The therapist, social worker and financial services are useless!!! They will come in moms room, close the door, in front of my mom and other patient and VERBALLY attack me!!! They think I'm handing everything over to them. Her whole checkbook not just statements. They want her car keys, all moms mail, titles to cars, and the list goes on!!! My mom is not capable of standing. The state actually put a GPS tracking device on her. Where do they think she is going to go??? As far as the temperature in the facility, GL! My skin is wet from sweat! They are CLUELESS ABOUT HIPPA!!! I was even approached outside the facility. In front of other patients and people coming and going!

This place needs to be shut down, nurses have an additude, financial and social worker are bullies, intimidation is their game, patient care is non existent, mother in law had pinkeye, highly contagious, they were using baby shampoo and water to clean it!!!! REALLY? after much complaining the mystery doctor finally decided to grace us with his presence and ordered the rite meds. No repositioning, we do it, bathing? lol that's a joke, we wash the feet and arms where brown crud is developing, their ratings are very low, the complaints are numerous, when will something be done? I for one am not going to stand there and do nothing

I had a wonderful experience for my mother Helen Walsh during her stay at Heberts. I wish to thank the staff and RN's in the South Wing for the great care given to my mother during the last six months of her life and I know she wasn't always easy due to her age and health.. :) A special thanks to Karen Ardente Admissions Director who always was as nice as one can be and always present. And, a special thank you to Christina and Amanda the RN's and their staff who cared for my mother.( Nursing Directors too) And, I wish to thank Michelle the Social Worker at Heberts who showed empathy and expertise always. And, thank you Ally at the front desk for your smile and expertise as well..Forever Grateful, Patricia
