Played in Spring golf tournament Fri-Sat. Course was in great shape. Bar rules are they must open all cans of beer up in purchase which is silly and inconvenient. Stayed at the Ranch.,Decent accommodations except I don't like liquid pump soap in shower. You can't reach it when taking a bath. Temporary restaurant is okay. All in all a great golf trip! Highly recommend golfing here in winter and early spring.

Previously known as The Furnace Creek Inn, The Oasis has beautiful grounds and buildings with many great amenities. The views of Death Valley are spectacular. Our room and bed were excellent. The only thing that detracted from 5 stars was the dining service and food. With everything else exceptionally great, I feel that that the dining will improve shortly as they are presently suffering through a major renovation. I also anticipate that the additional renovations and additions that are underway will make a currently great experience even better in the near future.

Beautiful old historic California Resort in Death Valley National Park. We have not stayed overnight but have visited to have drinks on The Veranda many times. Beautiful view from The Veranda of The Magnificent Death Valley area. Very beautiful grounds to walk around in that are very much like an oasis in the desert. Lots of palm trees.

Rooms are nice but rather pricey. Beware the they charge $12/day resort fee that they do get tell you about. Do ask about senior discounts, which saved me a big bunch. The place is currently a construction zone and dining options are pretty limited. Service is pretty good.

The hotel is past its prime. It had a university residence or cheap motel type of feel to it. Especially in the corridors and entrances to the buildings. The grounds and presentation of the buildings could use some work. They are rebuilding the reception area so could not comment on that part. The location was really good and the price reflected that. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. I could not fault them.
