The minute you walk into Tipton's, you can feel the difference! The store is locally owned, and the owners and staff stay focused on their mission to provide quality products at fair prices. We bought my wedding ring there, and have purchased special gifts from Tipton's over many years. We have always been pleased with the attentive service, and with the jewelry.

I went in to get my engagement ring resized but also decided to have it re-plated (white gold). Although a reasonable price it was a touch more than I was anticipating but got every penny worth. I’m not sure it looked this good when I got it. I cried when I put it back on since it had been so long and hubs is deployed currently. Best Valentine’s Day gift ever. I now see the value in getting rings a tune up every few years. I can’t stop staring at it!

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK!!!!!!! While on deployment, my husband bought me a beautiful green diamond that was to be used for my “mother’s ring.” We choose to go to Tipton’s after a thorough review, and speaking with them about our concept involving a beautiful white gold setting. They explained that because it was a custom ring it would not be able to be returned. That should have been a warning; however, we were never planning on returning the ring. The diamond was set between 2 rows of smaller diamonds on top and bottom, which we requested to be replaced with our children’s birthstones. They stated that this would not be a problem. Once we received the ring I LOVED it, and of course wore it out the store. By the time we arrived home two of the birthstones fell out. I took it back the following week for replacement. This was the first of approximately 6 times they had to replace the stones within a year. I was concerned about how I would get repairs once we PCS’d. I spoke to Micheal Tipton himself and he said all I had to do was ship it back and they would repair it free of charge since we purchased the ring from them and it was warrantied for life. Every time I presented for repairs I inquired about the quality of the ring, considering how I didn’t expect the need for this many repairs. They assured me it was a quality piece of jewelry, but did offer to refund a portion of the over $1700 we spent. Once we moved I returned the ring twice more for the same issues and they repaired it. However, the last time I sent it back they attempted to charge me for the repairs, Melissa (saleswoman) who helped us through the whole process, suddenly acted unfamiliar, and Mrs. Tipton was extremely rude telling me that “she spoke to her husband and he never said any of that.” She then went on to say “ what do you expect when your cleaning bathrooms and your house with expensive jewelry on.” I was shocked, astounded, and upset....informing her that I took special care of all my jewelry, especially this very special ring. She then stated that this, “would be the last time they repaired my ring and she never wanted to hear from me or my husband again.” Melissa the saleswoman refused to get on the phone as she was the one that helped us every time and sold us the ring from the beginning. In addition, every repair visit required multiple phone calls back and forth, with constant excuse and failed follow-up on their part. I spent countless hours trying to acquire the status of my ring during each event. I had the ring evaluated by 2 separate professional jewelers that reported the poor craftsmanship of the ring, and assessed that it would require thousands to rebuild/repair the design. I’m currently in the process of seeking legal consult. Lesson learned from us, I hope this helps warn others of Tipton’s terrible, dishonest business practices, and horribly poor customer service.
