Tootsies is a must if you're in Nashville. See if you can catch Hadley Elizabeth's band while you're there. All the bands are good, but hers is superb. Great service too. I recommend the potato skins for an appetizer! Yum!

Wild and wonderful! Super spot. Lots of happy, friendly folks. I'd been there 20 years ago and got the chance to bring my down to see it. I wanted to show her two things in Nashville - the Parthenon and Tootsie's.

This place has a pretty cool rooftop view of Broadway. Unfortunately, this place seems really old (has a lot of character). Like a typical bar it reeks of alcohol and is pretty sticky. It has a few different floors with good music setups. The drinks are on the expensive side...$7 for a Corona.

Tootsies is definitely a place every tourist should experience at least once, but once was enough for me. the idea is solid: multi-level bar, with different live music on each floor. But the building is so crowded, you are lucky if you can squeeze your way through. I am pretty sure they were beyond capacity, and if I hadn't seen multiple police officers on each floor, I would think they were in code violation. The walls were gritty and grungy, the bathroom seemed to be the cleanest place in the joint... which was probably because they had an attendant in there continually wiping everything down. Restroom lines were horrible and the music was okay. Tootsies is a staple on Broadway. It was downtown before it was cool to go downtown, so it is a historical joint in Nashville. That said, there are cleaner, quieter bars with better music and room to dance. Go, so you can check it off your list, but don't plan to stay for more than a song or two at most.

Amazing place in Nashville. All pink. You cant miss it along Broadway. Terrific atmosphere. Live bands all day long. Playing jazz and country and western music. Was there on a Saturday night. Go early as it gets very busy.
