Two Men and a Truck

We used these guys for a move about two years ago. Everything went well enough until we got to our moving location and suddenly they come to me and tell me the move is going to cost about $1500 more than what they'd originally quoted because it was taking longer than they thought. At the time I was in the middle of moving and they still had half our stuff on the truck so I just paid it. It's stuck with me since then, though, and the more I think about it the more annoyed I get. I don't mind paying extra if that's what the move costs, but the bait and switch was not cool. This could have been avoided. We had a reasonably complicated move. If they'd bothered to send someone out like I wanted maybe the estimate would've been closer. Maybe they pull this bait and switch on other customers who are too exhausted to fight it. I can't know for sure, because I will never be using this company again and I'll definitely tell anyone I know to avoid them. A final note. I looked through some of the accounts leaving five star reviews. They all call out people working at Two Men and a Truck by name and most of these accounts have only left the one glowing review for this company. As though that account was created just to leave that review and was using a script someone in their office came up with.

Lauren- I was moving everything from my one bedroom apt to a storage facility. I have moved several times in the last few years all with different companies big and small and this was by far the best experience I have had from all of them. My team of Brian, Zack, and Chris were extremely helpful, efficient, and professional. I received a coutresy call before they arrived. Even though my apt was on the third floor with no elevators, they’re spirits stayed high and positive the entire time. Overall, they were finished under the projected time meaning we were also under the projected budget quote. I will be recommending this company to all my friends and will personally be using them from now on for all my moving needs!! Thank you so much!!

Driver said floor was not clean - I offered to vacuum and still pay them while I did this. Driver gave me number for office and said he would wait in the truck. Walked out and drove off. Only communication since then was a customer service rep with an attitude calling to say that someone in management would call me back tomorrow. Wouldn't give me a name of manager nor a method to contact them. Her name was Ashley - really unfriendly and rude.

I ask for an estimate for our move that is Out about 45 days. I asked for the estimate over email and it took three days for them to get back with me to let me know that they would have to have someone come out. I let them know that we may be having them pack for us depending on the cost. They couldn’t even get someone out to my house to estimate for two weeks. I let them know that this was unacceptable due to the fact that if I didn’t want to hire them for packing I would need to start packing myself. They seem unsympathetic, and then willing to except the urgency. I also emailed back the person that sent me the email and they didn’t seem phased at all by the fact that they could’ve lost a $2000 moving job. Though they never completed actual services I do not recommend them due to not even getting through the process with them.
