U-Haul Moving & Storage of Stamford

Made a reservation about a week ago. Received an email 24 hours before the pick saying my confirmed location was 30 miles away. Called customer service who was rude, uninterested and clearly didn't care -- told me my options were another location or another day. I chose Cancel. This is second time Uhaul has confirmed equipment then tried to send me elsewhere. Use another Company.

I had some issues with equipment and billing but the friendly staff contacted me and promptly resolved all the problems. Really appreciate the excellent customer service! A+++

Waited forever. Their customer service is horrible. They told me they wouldn't accept the return of my uhaul trailer because they "didn't have enough room" and that they "don't take trailers at this facility." I pointed out that there were plenty of spots next to the other 10 trailers they had sitting in their parking lot. I was told sorry we can't help you. I finally was able to drop my trailer off at another facility that was so full of uhaul equipment they could barely fit my trailer on the lot. Yet this one on Jefferson ST is TOO FULL even though there is tons of space on their lot.

I only use this place for refilling my 20 lb propane BBQ grill tank. The service is quick and efficient and friendly. It beats using the tank exchange services because you get a full 4.8 gallons instead of only a 3/4 refill elsewhere.

I had a reservation to pick up a 5x8 trailer at the Stamford UHaul on Largo drive when I realized that I did not have the proper light hook up. I was directed to the Jefferson St. location, where Jose and Francisco immediately diagnosed the problem, reviewed my options, and then installed the proper hook up on the spot. They were very busy and yet managed to work me in. Jose only charged me for the part -- no labor costs! -- and was very friendly and understanding, as was Francisco. I'll definitely use this location again the next time I need moving help in the area.
