Lost multiple wedding invitations that I sent either by dropping off at this location or leaving in drop boxes in town. Several have actually been lost again with attempts to re-mail new ones. Many took over 3-weeks to get to addressees. Trying to contact all 150+ ppl now to see if they have received

Fast lines, even during Xmas when there were 12 people in line. In and out in less than 10 min. One star taken away for NO HOURS POSTED ON GOOGLE. It's not 1995 anymore. :(

Some of the nicest postal employees I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They are laid back and willing to help every time.

I would strongly recommend not using this post office for any mail-related service whatsoever. I would probably not even use their lobby as a restroom after a meth-fueled walk from Parole and Probation, also in the super-classy Deco District. Let me explain: We purchased a P.O. BOX 1 year ago. We did two six month contracts. Since that time, the Post Office has delivered other people's mail to our P.O. BOX time and time and time again. Why did we renew after such a bad experience? Well, the apartments where we live have centrally located mailboxes which are constantly vandalized. I suspect it's the failed abortions that live in the apartments, battling to get as many government benefit checks as soon as possible, fraudulently or otherwise. The Newport Post Office has been confirmed to have lost at least one piece of my certified mail and I suspect they have also failed to deliver an important letter from the IRS. Just last week, they tried to give me somebody else's debit card. For real. Their incompetency is atrocious, and when I call them out on it, I get varying degrees of apologies and/or assurances that the issue(s) will be fixed. Case in point: I have told them numerous times what my last name is, and that my family has the same last name, and we are only interested in getting mail for my family. We paid for the PO BOX; we're not leasing it out to the general population or some bum that shoots up in the Shell bathroom and then comes over and asks the Post Office for general delivery. There are many other post offices to use in the County, including: Neotsu Lincoln City Waldport Eddyville Depoe Bay Otis Siletz Toledo Tidewater Yachats I would recommend any one of these, never having been to any of them, over the gross incompetence and neglect of the Newport Post Office. *Google, by altering or removing this review, you agree to pay my $100,000.00 and a 1 year lease on a postal box elsewhere.

The staff clerks at the location were very friendly and helpful. It was one of the better post offices I've been in this year. Of course I live in California........
