Wayside Restaurant, Bakery & Creamery

Classic diner experience! This place is always a good time. A hot spot with a large dining area that is regularly packed, lots of comfortable booths and a wait staff that treats you like family. Usually only one beer on tap, but what they do have is fresh and suits the food perfectly. And they have Moxie! Wonderfully child friendly.

Always have the pot roast. Today the pot roast veggies ate small and the servings of meat is much smaller. Great job at getting us seated together. Waitress brought out a meal where the meat was way to done asking if we wanted it sent back when she should have sent it back and never brought it out to begin with. Rolls were good.

Solid diner experience. The service is excellent and the owner is really proud of his place and stands behind it. The food is good, but not exceptional. Also some quirky Vermont food options like cheddar and pie. Great value.

Rude staff and food is bad for you and your friends! Not what it used to be... thanks but no thanks we get better service and quality else where

I’ve always loved the rolls, just have to know what to put oven temp on to have them come out perfect. Not undercooked nor over cooked. Just right! The owners are very respectable people, they care about their customers and employees. Wayside is a great place to go get some good food and great service, plus homemade ice cream and the donuts are THE BEST IN CENTRAL VERMONT!!!
