Hyde Away Inn & Restaurant

A traditional Vermont a pres tavern, that surprises you with excellent food. Way better than the pub good I was expecting. Plenty of delicious gluten free options too. Had a delicious baked Cod topped with crab salad, while my partner had perfectly done lamb chops. Prices are reasonable if you're used to Resort prices or living in the city, but are a bit steep if you're a local. Priced fairly though considering the quality of the food.

Choose your menu items carefully. While the food was very well prepared, I found myself disappointed on the small details. For example, when we order the charcuterie board it came with stale French bread. We had ordered the same menu item the night before and it was very good. Even if the French bread was fresh, I still would have been disappointed with the almost complete lack of meats accompany the cheese. I also ordered the cowboy steak which was very tasty and perfectly prepared. However, another caveat is it was on the thinner side. When I'm paying this much for a steak I expect that steak to be super thick and not sliced on the thin side, which is an obvious cost-saving measure. When you're paying as much as we were for our food and stay we just expected more.

We stayed at the Hyde Away this week and it was awesome!! I only wish we had more time. It really had a fun, no frills ski hostel type vibe, but with high end food and drinks. We got in late after a 7 hour drive, and the bartender had waited for us and served us a drink before closing up. It really got us excited for the ski weekend. Couldn't get closer to MRG and the price was good.

Went here for a rehearsal dinner for my sisters wedding. The food was amazing, had lots of flavor. The service was not the beat though. Our drinks were not refilled very often.
