Wellshire Behavioral Services - Mental Health Center of Denver

Called to schedule a new patient appointment, and was told by the rude receptionist that a scheduling coordinator "may or may not" call me back within a week. After waiting for this call for 2 weeks, I called again and spoke to a different receptionist. I was told that the original person who answered my call didn't even bother taking my information down and that's why I didn't get a call back from a scheduler. After becoming very upset, I was finally allowed to speak to a person who was able to schedule me an appointment (for over a month out), and was told that I would receive a "confirmation email" about this appointment. Of course, I never got an email confirmation and I have been calling for days to confirm my appointment, but no one answers or calls me back. If it is this difficult to even schedule a brief intake visit, how is anyone with a mental health issue supposed to get actual treatment from this place? It is really quite unfortunate that there are so few options for mental health care providers in the area that this place can treat patients like dirt and get away with it.

This place deserves zero stars. They never answer the phone. Take forever to call back. Don't think they even know how to bill to your insurance properly, because I've met my deductible but I'm still paying full price. My wife has to switch therapist because they stuck here with someone that doesn't understand eating disorders or drug addiction. When they screened my wife, shouldn't that be the first thing they do? Find a therapist that specializes in those fields to actually help my wife, not encourage destructive behavior? And tell her to be afraid of food. And when we call to talk to an administrative supervisor, they said they were out of town for a week. So no one is left in charge? Seems like it with how things are done here. If you need mental health help, save your mental health and don't go here.

I've never had any issues with Wellshire and its staff. I've been coming here for over a year now and I am really happy with how I am treated. They are really friendly and helpful and I absolutely adore my therapists.

If I could give zero stars I would. It's been over a month and they are still processing my release forms so that I can see a doctor for med management. There was an issue with a fax number on my form and they didn't even bother to tell me! I only found out after I had contacted them asking why it was taking so long. And after I got the chance to finally speak with the person handling my paperwork (not their voicemail), they were completely dismissive and unhelpful. Extremely inconvenient, especially for someone already dealing with a mental illness. Expect to play lots of phone tag if you are trying to receive their services.

Showed up a little late to an appointment due to an accident on the way. Upon arrival, I'm told my doctor won't see me and that I'd need to reschedule. What's aggravating is my appointments usually last about 10 minutes, and I think having to reschedule is a bit unreasonable. I sat in the waiting room for 2 hours to see a nurse, and while my doctor had the time to write me a script, she still didn't see me. On another topic, I've been overcharged since day 1 here, but was told I'll be reimbursed. Will be looking for a new doctor after these experiences.
