Bobbee O's BBQ

The food is always amazing. It's a great place for lunch to sit down and eat. I had the pulled chicken sandwich. The sauce was delicious, the bun was toast yet soft, and the chicken was tender. I love the macaroni and cheese...very flavorful and full of cheese. The staff was friendly and professional. There was practically no wait, and the food arrived quickly. I would highly recommend it. Vegetarian options: They list the vegetarian options and have a full review of what common food questions based on dietary needs.

The food and service was perfect. I got the side dish meal - the greens and candied yams were SO good. My sons had the brisket and pulled pork. Best BBQ sauce I’ve ever had. Very kind, sweet, server.Food: 5/5

We dropped in on a chilly, cloudy Tuesday evening during our stop over in Charlotte. Bobbee O's is a short distance from our hotel. When in NC, have NC BBQ. It wasn't very busy when we arrived, but it was after the dinner rush. We were promptly greeted by 2 employees. My partner & I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich combos, mine with fries, his with slaw. The same gentleman who took our order also delivered our food. The sandwich was HUGE. What a touch that the bun is a toasted brioche bun & with butter! It's served with a side of sauce. The pork is nice & tender with just a hint of smoke & not too much sauce. The fries were crispy & the slaw was tasty. Everything was hot & fresh & served in black plastic "iron skillets" super cute. The manager checked on us as did the gentleman who took our order. I really appreciated the music as it added to the atmosphere Tuesday Bluesday? Definitely on my list to visit if I'm through Charlotte again!

I ordered chicken bbq with corn on the cob and collard greens. It was ok. The bbq sauce for the chicken was too sweet and the chicken was dry. The collards were good but, that corn either needs some work or come off of the menu. Adding some garlic butter to the corn would do wonders.Food: 3/5

Some food was good, and some not! We ordered the 4 meat sampler that came with 4 sides and 4 breads. We specifically tried this restaurant because they had cornbread and for some reason no one in NC makes cornbread. Here is the good! Fries, hush puppies, pulled pork and chicken. Here is the bad! Cornbread muffins were super dry and don't have good flavor. The brisket.... Personally we were offended! Half of the meat or more was simply fat. I took a picture even. The ribs were just ok. There didn't seem to be a lot of orders when we were in yet it took about 30 minutes to get our to go order, and 10+ min after they texted the order was ready. Had we not checked we wouldn't have gotten all our food - I had to go back in and ask for what they missed. To make it worse we drove 30 min to try this place. We expected with $50 worth of food we would have lots of leftovers for 2 people. Nope. Portions seemed small.

If you are in Charlotte, NC then this is a must. Bobbee O's was once featured in Parade Magazine as one of the top 3 best BBQ joints in the USA. It is owned and operated by the Man, the Myth, the Legend, the BBQ Maestro himself Bobbee O. This place is outstanding! I ordered the Brisket Combo meal. Every element of that meal was great! It is the best brisket I've ever eaten, coleslaw was finely chopped, sweet, and delicious. Also, the fries and hush puppies were great. They also had Cheerwine as a soft drink choice! When you go up to the counter you may have the privilege of being served by 'All Smiles' Allie. She will square you away on the menu and get you going. Bobbee O and 'All Smiles' Allie are pictured.

My children and I are trying new restaurants and this one is close to my son’s barbershop. I was excited to try a black owned barbecue spot, so we stopped in! My son and I had pulled pork platters. I had Mac and cheese and collards and he had Mac and cheese and fried okra. My daughter got buffalo dipped wings and fries. I also ordered the small hush puppies. Her meal came with tea, but the sweet cashier allowed my son and me to get a drink too because she knew the wait would be long. My order was placed at 7:22 and we didn’t get our food until 8PM. I’m not complaining about the wait because the food was fresh. My pulled pork was good, the fried okra and hush puppies were good. I did not like the Mac and cheese at all because it had a strong onion taste. The collards were not seasoned well at all. My daughter’s wings and fries were good though. The cornbread was a hard NO! It was super dry. Overall, I would go back and try something different. I read a review that said the sides weren’t the best, so I’ll try to find something I like. Definitely worth a try though!

The customer service exceeded my expectation! From the lovely lady taking my order, to persons preparing my food, as well as the respectful young man who handed me my food, Thank you for the amazing experience! The Ribs was delicious! I didn’t get a chance to take a pic because I ate the entire rack!Food: 4/5

I would say 2&1/2 stars. Okay lunch spot not so hot as a dinner spot .. If on a Sunday afternoon when church lets out it’s empty go with your gut. We should’ve just left. But,We really wanted this to be a great restaurant we’ve heard mixed reviews. I ordered a brisket sandwich with hush puppies and my man ordered 1/2 lb of brisket. I didn’t finish my sandwich it wasn’t even hot. My sandwhich had alottttt of fat and it just wasn’t seasoned well, the burnt parts and the fat is supposed to have all the flavor. I’m just really sad I truly truly was rooting for this place. But I’ll pass.

Food was excellent. The pulled chicken was moist and not overcooked with just enough sauce. Mac and cheese was good as well, but the best thing on the plate was the baked beans! Gorgeous atmosphere and clean space to spend an hour! I will definitely be back!Food: 5/5
