Pop up vaccinations for covid and flu for free we're held at the Carver Library on Dec 17 2022. Everything was set up nicely and you didn't have to wait long. There were also other vendors there like the Food Bank giving out food. Everyone was friendly. So thankful for the pop up immunizations for those who don't have insurance. I hope they continue.
I was there attending the African American Quilt Circle of San Antonio annual Christmas meeting/party. The event space was all setup, with plenty of space between members. I really like this library branch because it is well used by its community
Great and very helpful staff. I have been going to the learning center at Carver Library the trainer's Daniel and Shauna have been excellent. They have been assisting and guiding me through computer skills, resume, job search, and mock interview. Very professional and recommend.
This is a top class library they got this lady name Sharon she helps you out with your phone and she teaches Spanish to English or English to Spanish and computers shes pretty good at what she does she takes pride in her work I recommend this place big time
Won Flamingo Bingo after completing with parts and help. Plus extra prizes at the table. Thanks again so I can look adorable.
I needed to complete some online paperwork and must have gotten there at the wrong time. There was an older man and woman having a very loud conversation and not caring who heard them. Then, a staff member joined in with raucous laughter and a conversation of her own. Wow! I should have just to waited and gone at another time. That was very unpleasant and very disrespectful to others who may have wanted to just have a little peace and quiet.

I was horrified. I admit I have not been to the library in YEARS. This experience made sure it will be YEARS before I ever go again. While the staff were friendly and professional.. well one of them was, there was entirely too much activity. I felt like I was at a social club and not a library.
Very clean, friendly, welcoming community oriented environment for all age members of neighborhood. Plus an outdoor play area for kids, with an accommodating adult exercise area. Daily In-house activities for children starting at age 2 - teenage years and well planned outdoor activities for community families. Commendable resources and adult recreational and mental stimulating activities. Staff second to none , beginning with the Branch Manager along with all of them having a professional, yet personable mind-set.
As a family we do weekly library visits and this library is my kids favorite. I appreciate the more diverse book selection and the ability to loan books from other libraries. I really appreciate the community environment this library has established.
