We had such incredible and friendly service from Clark James and Andre, who got us out of a pickle entirely of our own making with our car hire booking, and with an upgrade to boot! They literally saved our honeymoon and we are so incredibly grateful. Would recommend to anyone!
I picked the car up downtown and returned at the airport. The service was fast and courteous. The vehicle was quite new, on the small side Suzuki Swift, but it did its job for a 1000k trip around the Cape quite well. My only complaint was that the clerk added insurance waivers fees to the bill, which I did not need and did not notice at the time. Cost me an unnecessary additional $100. So make sure that you read through your contract and that everything on there is what you asked for. The return at the airport was seamless.
I had such a great experience which isn’t normally the case with car rental firms, and brilliant customer service by Clark James, got an upgraded car which was perfect for the long drive down the garden route, and he agreed to pick it up on Sunday from a nearby hotel. All done with a smile and got an email when I landed back in the UK that all was fine with the car. Excellent service and a credit to Europcar as this makes people want to come back - which I certainly will! Thanks
Awful customer service. I tried the phone lines 3 times to and no answer and after arriving at the branch it took an hour in line to be served to collect a pre-booked vehicle on 22/04. The deposit I was made to pay was higher than the amount on my booking due to a fuel deposit of R1500 for a car that can only carry R500 of fuel! A new trainee assisted me and although she was very willing to help, she had not been given adequate training. The manager on duty and employees on the desk seemed disinterested in training the trainee or working efficiently to clear the queue making customers wait without a care in the world. This branch needs a serious wakeup.
I had really bad experience with Europcar. Me and my friend rented a car for a day and car we were given wasn't working properly. We are both experienced drivers, we've been driving for over 10 years and we both could tell this car is not safe to drive. We returned the car after after an hour and we still got charged for whole day. We didn't even got an apology or our money back. Such bad service. Very disappointing.
Absolutely terrible customer service on drop off 21/11/6 - 08:30. The person I dealt with on drop off was extremely rude. He aggressively tried to grab the keys from my hand without saying who he was or that he even worked for the company. There was no explanation of the drop off process or what was needed from us. Went to the front to find someone to explain what was going on and was told that’s all I can go without any context to who I was or what vehicle I had, etc. The office seemed chaotic with no one there taking accountability for customer service or seeming in control for that matter. Will never use again.

Very bad car rental station. Although we had a confirmed out of hours return it was not possible. Very chaotic processing. Although almost no customers were there, it took about 45 minutes to get the car. Edit: please provide your email address so I can send you the details. Furthermore I would be very interested why we were charged R122 for "Document Administration Fee".
I've been wrongfully charged for car hire booked by my insurer. These two just point fingers at each other. So while these two blame each other, I just received TWO more invoices from Europcar. I cannot explain to you the nightmare I'm dealing with.
