Kraaifontein Day Hospital

It's very busy and overcrowded. We were lucky, my mom is very old and we got helped really quickly. The staff at the psychiatric section we went to were amazing and we didn't wait long. It was a mission to get the doctor to sign her prescription though and the queue at the pharmacy is very, very long!

We were there for a trauma incident. The doctor Dr Eloff was very friendly and thorough about the patient's history. The nurses and all the other staff were all very friendly and approacable. The best service I have experienced at a state funded clinic.

I'm writing this little article to share my experience and it's also due to my bleeding heart. Yesterday on the 15th August 2022 I received a call saying that my mother was involved in an accident in Kraaifontein around. 9am as she was on her way to work, she was then taken by the Ambulance and rushed to Kraaifontein day hospital the hospital right then however, it was really of no use because on their arrival at the hospital as she was with other accident victims, they were told by the hospital staff to sit at the trauma area on benches the whole day and its night until today the 16th of August around 4:pm after I had to make calls to complain about the service to the facility. manager, she has been infact in pains for this whole 2 days on a Bench without food, water and/or being registered nor being attended to I had to then keep on following and chasing up with the faculty manager until he himself had to look for her, it was only then that she was attended to only for few minutes before she was told to come back for x-ray on the 3rd day because it was already late for x-ray on day 2 in that hospital. I'm so disappointed and doubtful that she'll be able to go back to that trash tomorrow, South Africa is just a mass on the highest level.

Poor service Not so good i was an emergency one of the nurses put me outside in a long que were there was a lots of peoples I got no choice i have to look elsewhere i can got medical treatment honestly i had very bad experience with this clinic

The club part goes quick enough but still waiting to get my medication it's going for 2 and a half hours now.......and still waiting No water to wash your hands in the toilets not very hygienic for a hospital whether it's a state hospital or not

My daughter is there at kraaifontein day hospital. She is 14weeks pregnant. She can't breath and her eyes and mouth are blue. But they don't help her. My word really

Just came in with an ICU patient and the Nurse is very rude,arrogant.They are not following the rules of attending people with serious injuries.

I would like to express my utter disgust with this hospital for treating my parents with such disrespect yesterday on the 9/02/2022, we dropped my mother off at 7am and she was only assisted at 3pm the afternoon after sitting there for almost the whole day! the doctor that helped her eventually, he put her folder right at the bottom of the pile to help other people first. she was asked if she had made an appointment which she was told she didn't have to she can just come. I understand fully that they follow an appointment system but what are you to do when some of the staff is clueless and give you the wrong information when you ask. my mother's blood pressure was sky-high by the time the doctor eventually saw to her, she told him the purpose of her visit and he was not very obliging to assist her and dismissed her with providing her with sticks to push in her ear herself which she can cause more damage instead of assisting her with the issue. To cut a long story short she waited a whole day at this place for this kind of treatment, didn't eat or drink anything for a whole 8hrs of sitting there, I'm disgusted to say the least. This is the way our senior citizens are being treated. This doctor made my mom wait whole day only to treat her within 2minutes to tell her to treat her own ear. this is inhumane!:

If you like waiting a very long time then this place is perfect for you

I don't even want give this place a rating, 2:53am in the morning there's no patients but my wife still has to wait 30 - 40 minutes for a doctor. I have to wait outside in the street, the parking area is empty but I am not allowed to park there. This is an unsafe area especially this time of night,but who am I.... They're so concerned about your well-being but not concerned about your well-being
