Mamma Mia - Rondebosch

This pizza place has changed hands and names quite often over the last few years. I have to say though that the current owner has done absolutely amazing job of making the place far more cozy and inviting than at any time in the past. By far my favourite pizza/pasta place.

Quick and friendly service food arrived not to long after drinks were served - inexpensive. Owner and waiter very attentive. Pizza was good although i would prefer the option of a thinner crispy base. Rum & raisin gelato was quite good too.

Good, quick pizza at a decent price. The owner is hands on, and I hope that doesn't change. Although I only had pizza the menu included pizza, pasta, and ribs. I would have preferred a thinner, crispier base, but i was very happy.

Had an amazing dinner at Mamma Mia! The pizzas were absolutely delicious and the service was excellent - the food came quickly but you also don’t feel rushed to just eat and leave. The owner and staff were really friendly creating a great comfortable atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!

My rating for the food 10/10. The service was also 10/10. The pricing was 10/10. You really need to sort out getting a liquor license. And come on guys it's not St. Elmo's from 2006 anymore. Get rid of the waiting area and old school St Elmo's look. Turn it into a real restaurant and ditch the Ice cream parlour outside. Will be back a lot in the future but get rid of the take away feel and make it more sit down "restaurant-y." Your staff are also very friendly. Great food!

Absolutely amazing and delicious food. One of thee best Italian restaurants that I have been to in awhile. Presentation, portions, prices and service is impeccable. Very kind and caring owners as well. Will definitely come back again.

Best Italian restaurant in town. Food is so good and you just want to go there all the time. The owner is really sweet and from Italy! The prices, you cannot beat them.. Most things under R100. The quality of food is out of this world. I'm actually craving the pasta as in now - yikes!

A real Italian restaurant, with a real Italian owner/chef. He knows what's cooking and how things should taste like the Italian way. Variety menu, besides Italian pasta and pizza, he also caters to African tastes. Being a curious tourist, I opted for later, and so had pap served for some first time in my life and some greens I can not even remember the name of. Good experience, lower price range - good food for the buck! Beware: BYOB, as he still does not have the alc licence

Emanuele deserves a 10/5 rating, I can't remember when last I've had such excellent service. I had the privilege of trying out the homemade beef burgers, and a few slices of pizza. The burger patty was filled with so much flavor that I took my time digging into it. I'm now eager to try the veggie burger he recommended. Biting into the pizza, feels like Italy breathing into your face. Emanuele was very entertaining and myself, my fiance and the kids had a great time. We look forward to our next visit. If you are in the area even if you're not, make sure you stop by at Mamma Mia for an authentic experience. Grazie Emanuele!
