Terrible, the nurses think they are doing you a favour. Extremely rude and ill mannered. They dont know the meaning of treating patients well.
I won't recommend meulmed to anyone. The sisters in paediatric ward are so loudy, very lazy not caring as nurses you are expected to do their job while they are busy chatting and laughing so load, they don't respect their patients and parents privacy at anytime they barge in with high voice laughing so load. They don't have proper rotation for giving medication.
The nursing staff are great. The Drs are pathetic in the Spinal rehabilitation Section. The rehabilitation gym run/owned by Rita Henn is dirty and doesn't comply with several laws. I picked up a severe viral infection due to the lack of hygiene standards which are non existent. The physical therapists are also not trained in spinal rehabilitation and treatany disease
The staff should all get a rise. The care they give to pasients are better then out of the book. If there is questions thw answer it with knowledge and the problem solving is applaudable.......thank you for your service. Every docter, sister everybody employed at Meulmed Hospital.
I fully understand that not everyone has the same experience, and some days are stones and some days are diamonds; however, we have thus far, really only had good, friendly, and polite service. In general I like the ambience and the place feels clean; the toilets are also clean and neat. PS. We have been to NUMEROUS hospitals, thus I believe I can give a fair review. LATE UPDATE. Sorry, but after what was a great Admission, the rest of the Ward Service was pathetic, to say the least :- Okay, my wife spent again 4 nights at Meul Med. I update my rate as per this last visit. Staff friendly and caring, only the food can really improve.
I will never set my foot in this hospital ever again, went to the hospital last week on the 8th February, I had chest pains and difficulty with breathing. Was attended by a nurse in the emergency area while waiting for the Doctor who took his time and he had very impatient and inconsiderate. Then he asked one of the nurses called Sophie to do heart test on me, the nurse came and just pulled my underwear without informing me what was that for and she was very rude. Then I was discharged at about 2am still with severe chest pains. All in all I will never recommend anyone to come to this hospital.
We’ve got bad service. You can’t even sit on a chair or on the floor next to a sick 92 year old lady. Only one person next to her bed. Took 4hours plus for admission. The staff told you to sit in the rest rooms if you want to sit. We are lucky they couldn’t help her at Meulmed and the ambulance took her to Heart Hospital with 5star service.
This is the best hospital in Pretoria, the nurses are very friendly and loving. However there is a group that works night shift this week they delay to bath patients and give them medication very late. That is not fair they are sick they need the best possible care at all times especially at night.as im typing there's a sick lady who was promised to be taken to the shower the sister came with her oxygen put it at the door and left without saying anything this people they are heartless
I have been here since 9am, for admission in the medical ward. When my doctor called to confirm availability of the bed it was at 10. And the response, I heard the conversation; was that they are cleaning and the beds will be available soon. 3hrs20min later we get tonthe ward and are told that the beds are not ready, though we have been allocated beds already. This is my 3rd admission here, and every time since the 1st admission the service in the ward keeps deteriorating. If I didn't need this neurological intervention I would have long left for home. This is very unprofessional and insensitive to us as patients.
I was admitted at Surgical ward for 2 days. Warm reception, the place is very clean, food was very good and I loved the meal booking system.
